Flash Back 2015/16
Guernsey/Casper, Wy
We actually matched on a dating site (no, not tinder but similar) during our senior year of high school.
After a few weeks of chatting and getting to know each other, I took a spontaneous trip to Guernsey to met him.
Shortly after that, Shane had a football trip that was passing through Casper! I decided to drive to the Pizza Ranch where he and his team had stopped for dinner, and he officially asked me to be his girlfriend.
We lived about an hour and a half apart, so we didn't spend much time together at first. I would drive to visit on weekends sometimes.
We maintained a long-distance relationship for the rest of the school year, then his family moved back to Washington after we graduated.
Pursuing my culinary career in Portland, Oregon, I followed North-West. After about 2 years, we decided to take some time apart and focus on who we were as individuals.
Not too much longer after that we reunited, and the rest is history!
Now we have a happy Fur Family of 3 dogs and 4 cats that love our tiny cabin country lifestyle!
Family Cabo Trip
October 29- November 5, 2022
The last week of October has always been a celebration of meeting/dating anniversaries for the two of us, (we first met October 22, 2015 & started dating October 29, 2015) so it was only fitting when Shane turns to face me on the jet ski and asks me to marry him (November 2, 2022).
While I had daydreamed for years about this moment, I couldn't have hoped for anything better! I was surrounded by the family that I had loved like my own while on a tropical vacation, and a unique adventure!
Me, holding on for dear life as the adrenaline pumped, we celebrated together with Shane zooming around on a turbo jet ski along the coastline of The Sea of Cortez.
Spontaneous and fun, just like we like it!
