Our Wedding

Lane and Isabel met in high school. They first spent time together after a school dance at one of their friends house in November. After that Lane started messaging Isabel and the two of them started talking every day. They started playing iMessage games where Isabel would always beat Lane. They both ended up at a Christmas party and they spent the whole night talking and playing ping pong together. After the party, Lane texted Isabel and said that they should make a bet on who would win in IMessage pool. If Lane won, Isabel had to go to a movie with him the next day. Since she always won, she agreed but planned on saying yes to a movie even when she won. That is when Lane absolutely killed Isabel in the game. He had been playing the long game, letting her win all those weeks. The two of them started going on dates and became official on February 18th, 2019.Lane went to Casper College and the two of them continued dating. When Isabel graduated from high school, she decided to go to the University of Wyoming, 2.5 hours away. The two of them did long distance that year, and they would only see each other every two or three weeks. The following year, after Lane graduated with his Associates degree, he moved to Laramie to finish his schooling.The two of them spent the next two years in Laramie together where they started talking about their future together, but Isabel told Lane that he could not propose until she graduated because she refused to plan a wedding during nursing school.After Lane graduated, he started a finance job in Casper. Isabel stayed in Laramie for one more semester where they only saw each other a few times. They were both so happy when she finally moved home at Christmas, but they were met with a whole new challenge as she started her last semester of school working nightshift at the hospital. As her graduation got close, Lane planned a trip to Hawaii for them and their parents. They left two days after graduation.On their third day in Hawaii, they planned a day for the two of them. They started by getting the most amazing acaí bowls and then driving to the other side of the island to go zip-lining. Surprisingly enough, no one else signed up for the tour, so they had their own private tour. It was an unbelievable experience. They drove back in time to get ready and make it to the beach for sunset where Lane proposed.After the proposal, initial shock, and wandering back to the car, the two of them realized that the beach had closed and the gate had been shut. They were supposed to meet both their parents at a nice restaurant for dinner, but could not get around the gate. They had to wait for the dads to come pick them up. This did give them plenty of time to talk about all the fun secrets the past few months and call their close friends.They enjoyed the rest of their trip being newly engaged and started planning their wedding soon after arriving home.
