We’re so excited to celebrate our wedding with you in beautiful Spain! Here’s everything you need to know about getting here and making the most of your trip.
Travel Tips
• Currency: Euros (€).
• Transportation: Renting a car is recommended for exploring the region, but public transport options like buses and trains are also available.
• Weather: Expect 30 degrees plus average, is summer season and we do recommend to travel from September instead of August as it is high season and September will be the same weather.

Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport
Travelling from Australia or anywhere in the world to Spain:
The most convenient way to travel is by flying.
Flights to Spain:
• Book an international flight from Australia to one of Spain’s major airports, such as Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD) or Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN).
• Popular airlines with flights to Spain include Emirates, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, and Qantas. Layovers are common in cities like Dubai, Singapore, or Doha.
Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport
Connecting to Alicante:
Once you arrive in Spain, you can continue your journey to Alicante:
• Domestic Flights: Take a short domestic flight to Alicante-Elche Airport (ALC).
Renfe Chamartín
Train: Spain’s high-speed trains (Renfe AVE) connect Madrid or Barcelona to Alicante in 2-4 hours
The earlier you get the Train tickets, the cheaper they are.
Europcar Madrid Aeropuerto T1
Car Rental: For a scenic drive, rent a car from Madrid or Barcelona and enjoy the Spanish countryside. Bear in mind that Madrid to Alicante is 4 hours drive and Barcelona to Alicante round 6:30 hrs, but you guys are more than used to!
You can also rent a car from Alicante airport!
Best place to stay:
There are plenty of lovely accommodation options near the wedding venue, ranging from boutique hotels to vacation rentals. We recommend booking early! Here are some suggestions:

This is the closest hotel to Isa's hometown in Orihuela, BUT it is not near the beach.
We do prefer you to book in Torrevieja or Orihuela Costa area.

For your stay, you can also consider booking an Airbnb for more flexibility and comfort. We recommend finding accommodation in the Torrevieja or Orihuela Costa area for easy access to the wedding transfer.
These areas are well-connected, making it convenient to attend the wedding events. After the wedding weekend, you’ll have the freedom to explore other beautiful parts of the region or move to a different location for the rest of your holiday.
