Parque das Mangabeiras: Large park with open space. If you are lucky you can spot some animals in the wild like Star Tamarin, Coati, Armadillo, Little Anteater, Toucan, Tanager, King Vulture, and more.
Parque Municipal: Large park, open, green space, with over 280 species of trees and 182 thousand sqr meters.
Mercado Central: Open since 1929, it's our biggest downtown market. You can find many souvenirs and purchase local alcohol like Cachaça, Licor, spices, homemade cheese, desserts like Doce de Leite, etc.
Igreja São José: Historic Downtown Church, eclectic style with neo-gothic influence.
Feira Hippie: Open only on Sundays from 7 AM to 2 PM. It's the biggest market in BH, and happens on Avenida Afonso Pena every Sunday since 1969.
Igreja São Francisco de Assis (Igreja da Pampulha): Designed by Oscar Niemeyer; enjoy the day riding bikes around the lake and refresh yourself by having Coconut Water straight from the coconut (tip: ask the person to open the coconut for you after you are done, so you can eat what is inside).
Mineirão: Belo Horizonte Stadium; became especially famous during the World Cup in Brazil in 2014 when we lost 7x1 to Germany :(
