Our Wedding

It all started with a pair of writers, a dash of magic, and a few Chrysanthemums. She was sitting on a bench waiting for her creative writing class to start when she saw him walking up the stairs. "He's cute" she thought. "I should ask him out." We had class together all semester and her crush was growing bigger and bigger. Not one to shy away from being bold, she intended to ask him out. Then she read his writing. "Way too intellectual for me, better not." She didn't ask him out. He took a chance to get closer as friends. Building a new group with her an integral member. He thought she was funny, he thought she was cute. But she wasn't available then. So he didn't ask her out. The pandemic came and messed everything up. The two lost touch with each other as they did the rest of the world, and went their own ways for a little while. After things died down, she found him all alone. They started hanging out again, enjoying each other's company. He found himself liking her again, but got way too nervous. So he didn't ask her out. She could tell how he felt, though. So she said, "you should ask me out". And he finally learned his lesson.
