Isabella and Brian met in January 2018 at Upright Brewhouse in New York City. While both were working in Manhattan, they quickly spent most of their time together in their home borough of Queens.

Brian was living in Astoria after moving to New York from Virginia, while Isabella lived in Flushing, where she grew up. When they weren't planning their next international adventure, Isabella and Brian would spend their days exploring the neighborhoods in and around Long Island City.

Before long, they moved just over Newtown Creek to Greenpoint, Brooklyn, where together they adopted Sardine, a rescued street cat and amateur escape artist. Brian proposed to Isabella on their third anniversary of meeting one another, during their daily morning walk to Transmitter Park (she said yes, and Brian spilled his coffee everywhere).

On Friday, November 11, 2022, Brian and Isabella will celebrate their new life together with family and friends at The Foundry in Long Island City, Queens.
