Our Wedding

August 7, 2022, Isabella and Daniel met for the first time hanging out with a group from church. Isabella could not stand Daniel and thought he was so annoying. Sometime later on in November, Isabella was talking to Jaden (bridesmaid) and she said “I could see you and Daniel together”, but Isabella said “mm no”. Some time goes by and Isabella got invited to go to Rush Churchs young adult group for the first time so she decided to go, and thats when she saw Daniel from across the room when he smiled, and she thought dang, hes kinda cute.

When We Met

Thanksgiving time rolls around next and Daniel is off to go see his family in West Virginia. During his long car ride, the two ended up texting and going back and forth almost the whole time he was gone. From then on Isabella could not get him off her mind. Meanwhile in West Virgina, Hannah (Daniels sister/bridesmaid) kept telling Daniel, based on a text she saw that Isabella liked him, but Daniel just denied it (even though thats when he started crushing on Isabella). From there on out they started talking a little more each week until it slowly turned into talking everyday. 

Just Chatting

Next came Christmas time. It was a few days before Christmas when he texted and asked if Isabella would like to go bowling. To which Isabellas response was “you mean.. like with a group?”. Obviously she knew that is not how he meant it but she was just super nervous. Daniel told her he wanted to go just the two of them on a date. Isabella was interested but knew she had to talk to her parents first, with it being her first date and especially with the bit of age difference. Isabella kept pushing it off until the night of Christmas Eve when Daniel kept asking, so she finally asked her parents. After doing some talking they finally agreed. On December 29, 2022, Isabella and Daniel went on their first date. It was a little awkward since they drove separate from Isabellas house and Daniel couldnt get Isabella to do a ton of talking. But all in all they had a fun time and really enjoyed themselves. They also had a very nice hug at the end before they left. They both had the biggest smiles on their faces on their drives home.

Our First Date

As the two continued to talk a little bit longer they both felt strongly God was telling them that they needed to wait before starting a relationship. After 3 very long months and a few day fast from talking, they finally felt it was time to try going on a second date. On March 15, 2023, Daniel went to go pick up Isabella for their second date and Isabella was almost as nervous as the first time they went out. They went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and then went to church for young adults. After it was over a couple people in the group were going to Taco Bell so the two decided to just go and hang out for a little bit. As they were walking out the door someone asked “So when yall becoming official?”. Daniel brushed it off quickly and just gave a random I dont know answer. On their way to drop Isabella back off at home for the night there was a bang coming from Daniels trunk. Daniel started to panic but he said “Thats your gift that just fell over”. Isabella was confused and just laughed it off saying “Yeah right. Thats funny”. Little did she know he was being serious. He pulled into the church parking lot and told Isabella to get out of the car so he could give her, her gift. He gave her a little gift basket with some of her favorite things. He then handed he a card that the sweetest message and at the end of the card it read ‘Will you Bells, be my girlfriend?’. Isabella was shocked not expecting this to all happen now. She smiled and shook her head yes.

It’s Official

Over the next year and a half the two made so many special memories like going to prom, watching each other graduate, making big decisions, lots of concerts, long phone calls, serving in kids ministry together, eating plenty of ice cream, going on walks, hours of driving around listening to music, fun dates, spending time with family, fishing trips, watching Gilmore Girls, taking tons of pictures, sharing hard moments, and celebrating big important moments. Most importantly growing closer to God and to each other.

Fast forward to October 12, 2024, Daniel told Isabella he wanted to go take fall pictures, Isabella obviously agreed. They brought Marcie (Isabella’s mom) with them to take a few pictures for them. Isabellas dad and sister also tagged along because they had somewhere to be after. Daniel wanted to do a silly picture where Isabella was sniffing the flowers and he was tapping his wrist. Isabella was smelling the flower when Daniel said “Isabella”, she turned around and he was down on one knee.

This guy right here, he is a true friend. Even through him moving away for college, getting married, switching jobs, we have stayed close. Been a great influence on me to always stay true to God and also there is always room to be goofy.

Roxy Kilbourn - Bridesmaid

Rox and I go way back to preschool. Even though we've spent most of our friendship living more than 300 miles apart, she's always been a consistent source of kindness and support. Her generous spirit and loyalty make her an incredibly special friend.

Clayton Butler - Groomsman

Clayton is a funny and down to earth friend who is more like a red panda than a grizzly. He cares about the people that he surrounds himself with. A true friend who will go out of his way for you if needed. He is sweet (in a diabetic way).

Jaden Horton - Bridesmaid

Jade has always been like an older sister to me. She's someone Who's stood by me through life's highs and lows with so much support and care. Her kindness and wisdom have guided me more times than I can count. and l'm truly grateful to have her by my side on this special day.

Luke Pipala - Groomsman

I knew from that first time that I came over to Bella’s grandparents house that me and Luke were going to get along great. He thought he was clever by asking the weirdest questions but I one upped his game. Love ya like a brother!

Hannah Skeens - Bridesmaid

Hannah is 1 of my 2 soon to be sister-in-laws, and over time she's become a sweet friend I appreciate. I'm grateful to have her by my side as we celebrate this new chapter together.

Samuel Horton - Groomsman

I wouldn’t be able to pick my groomsmen without including this man. From the first time we hung out, we clicked in a unique way. Whatever you do, you don’t want to face the two of us in volleyball because we are “Locked down” when it comes to that. Can’t wait to get to call you my brother.
