November 19th, 2023, will forever hold a special place in my heart—it was the most magical day of my life! Surrounded by my closest friends and family, I said "yes" to forever with my best friend, my soulmate. A Nightingale Bird	This bird was chosen to highlight my time as a nursing student, (Florence Nightingale) and to also recognize one of my favorite verses. Matthew 6:25-27 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” 	This was my favorite verse that I was always repeating during nursing school. It was a constant reminder that Jesus was in control and that His love for me was so deep, and so much greater than nursing school. When I thought of the birds in that verse, I imagined little nightingales! I thought this was a great way to tie Jesus to the crest. He has been my rock every step of the way! ButterflyThis symbolizes the butterfly pin that my sisters, mother, and I bought during our travels to Paris! This was such a special time in my life, spent with my best friends. My travels abroad, the memories we made there, will forever be remembered when I look at this pin. It will also hook on each of our bouquets on our wedding day! SwansSwans are often seen as symbols of love, loyalty, and fidelity, particularly due to their tendency to mate for life. After eight wonderful years together, they felt like the perfect symbol of our commitment to one another and the love that continues to grow with time. Tassel TopsJack and I are getting married at Tassel Top Farms. It’s a family estate where we will also start our new lives together as a married couple. Our first home. We “couch dated” here at the very beginning of our relationship. After many years, it still is our very favorite place to go. These also highlight my dad, poppa, and other men in my family who have worked so hard getting this property prepared to perfection! It has always been such a dream of mine to be married here, and it would not be possible without the hard work and dedication that was poured into it. I’m so grateful for all of it. An Oak TreeThe oak tree honors Jack’s family and their restaurant, The Francis. His dad and brothers have built it into something amazing that the community loves and enjoys! A grand oak stands at the heart of the patio there — its branches stretching wide, offering shade and gathering space for countless memories. It’s also where Jack and I shared many of our first dates and favorite moments together. CrawfishJack’s very first job at The Francis was boiling crawfish! This small but meaningful detail celebrates his work ethic, his family’s business, and the many Louisiana summers spent sharing laughter (and crawfish) with friends and family. A ThreadMy favorite book my momma used to read to us is called Little Threads. It is a heart changing, character developing book that was read to us when we were little. It was a time that is so precious to me, and highlights my time spent with my sisters and our many slumber parties on the couch listening to my mom. She used to call us her little golden threads. This symbol reminds me of those tender moments, the lessons we learned, and the unbreakable bond between us. Together, these symbols tell our story. A tapestry of faith, family, love, and legacy. Every detail is a reminder of where we’ve been, who we love, and the One who has guided us every step of the way. I would like to say a special thank you to Lily Attuso for creating us this beautiful crest. She gathered all of my ideas, thoughts, and wants, and turned it into something beautiful. I will cherish this in my family forever.
