Nick and I started talking when we matched on a dating app at the start of September of 2022. After a few days of talking over the app’s messages and then over text we decided we should meet in person. It was Nick's idea that we meet on the Boise State campus and then walk to his apartment, which was essentially just across the street form campus. Once we got there, we could start watching his all-time favorite show, The Office. To his surprise I had never seen it and if I am being honest, I still don't think I was missing out on anything.

On my drive to campus the thought crossed my mind about how insane this date idea was, I, a 19-year-old girl, am going alone to some guy’s apartment. I mean this is what dateline makes all their money off of. Unbeknownst to me, a similar thought had crossed Nick's mind, about how crazy I must be to willing go to an unknown man's home, alone.

It wasn’t until about a year later that Nick brought up how risk filled our first meet was.

Thankfully in reality there was little risk. We meet in the Boise State stadium parking lot and walked to his apartment. Neither of us knew that this would be the start of our forever. This was the first page of our story, when we both meet our life long partner and teammate.
