Greg and Izzi met for the first time on October 13, 2023 at a haunted house party. Izzi arrived at the party first and noticed Greg as soon as he walked through the door. She immediately told her friends she thought he was cute, and they spent the next few hours trying to convince her to talk to him. In line at the haunted house, Izzi finally got the courage to say something to Greg... but he was so focused on being at the front of their group to go through the haunted house that he didn't even notice her! Fast-forward two weeks later, Izzi was hosting another Halloween party at her apartment and guess who showed up as a (uninvited) guest... She told her friends about trying to talk to him before, and once again they spent several hours convincing her to try again. She eventually got her courage back and this time, with Greg not being distracted by the thrill of a haunted house, he finally talked to her! They spent the rest of the night talking and dancing, not leaving each other's side. The next morning, Greg reached out to Izzi saying that he'd love to see her again as soon as possible. They went on their first date to the bowling alley, which anyone who knows Greg knows how special bowling is to him, and they have never stopped talking since then. He officially asked her to be his girlfriend on December 8, 2023, also known as Greg's birthday. They spent the next year and a half going on adventures, vacations, and doing all their favorite Utah activities together. After one year and seven months, on July 23, 2025, Greg asked Izzi to marry him. This time it was on her birthday. He asked her on a hilltop overlooking the lake of their new neighborhood where they had just purchased their first home.
