The year is 2011(ish). Gabe and Bella both attended Meadowthorpe Elementary school and became fast friends: sitting together at lunch, playing together at recess, even starting a club together! Gabe secretly had a crush on Bella, with her being his first ever crush -- if he could see himself now.

Although Gabe and Bella occasionally saw each other at a football game, would like each other's Instagram posts, Snapchat, you know, high school stuff, their relationship really kicked off during the summer of 2021. Gabe and Bella were reconnected by a mutual friend, and they were inseparable ever since.

For the next three years, they were long distance, with Bella being in Nashville, TN and Gabe being in or around Lexington, KY. That didn't dull their spark, though. They visited each other often, and would have a break from being long distance any time there was a break in school.

At the end of August, 2025, the two moved in together in Lexington, KY with their friend, Drew! The discussion of marriage had definitely been brought up, but Bella had no clue the planning that was going on behind the scenes.

The two had planned a trip for the beginning of December, and the closer it got the more Bella had a gut feeling that it was time. She got her nails done, made sure to pack cute outfits, and was ready to go. Gabe had purchased the ring over the summer and had a plan all ready.

On December 9th of 2024, Gabe and Bella woke up early, both ready and excited for the day ahead. They got dressed, boarded the subway, and made their way to Central Park. The closer they got to Central Park, the more nervous Gabe became. When they got off the subway at Central Park, Bella grabbed a coffee and they were on their way.

They walked through Central Park until they got to the Belvedere Castle. After hopping a (short) fence, they had the perfect view, their bags and coffee on a rock, and were enjoying the view. The time had come. Gabe looked at Bella, Bella looked at Gabe. Apparently, Gabe had a speech prepared, but all he said was "Bella... I love you so much... and... I was wondering..." as he got down on one knee. "Will you marry me?" Obviously Bella was crying and immediately said yes!
