Elijah and Isa went to high school together in Goodyear, Arizona. They sat next to each other at lunch and will now admit they had little crushes on each other, but nothing came of it at the time. Upon graduation, they lost touch (or so Isa thought). Elijah moved back to Nevada for college at UNLV while Isa stayed in Arizona to attend GCU. Isa went through college periodically looking for Elijah on social media to see what his adult life had become (and find out if he was single), but she failed to ever find him. After 4 years of undergraduate studies and 1 year of law school, Isa attempted again to find Elijah online, and this time she found him on LinkedIn! So she sent him a friend request, but nothing happened at first. However, Elijah took this as a good sign that Isa might be interested in him, and it encouraged him to figure out how to contact her. Then, one summer day of 2023, Isa posted on her instagram story that she was looking for buffalo wing recommendations in Phoenix. A seemingly anonymous account suggested that Isa try NYPD wings. Isa was confused as to who this person was and how they had become 'friends' online. After some digging, she realized that the user was Elijah and he had been following her on social media ever since high school!!! Isa had been searching for almost 5 years for Elijah at that point, and it turns out he was connected to her the whole time. Elijah had seen all of Isa's posts over the last 5 years, and had become increasingly interested in her, but wasn't sure how to engage in conversation until the buffalo wing prompt. They messaged back and forth non-stop for 12 hours. 2 days after the wing recommendation Elijah asked Isa if he could fly to Phoenix to take her on a date. She of course said yes, and the rest is history.
