Q + A

Can I Bring a Guest/Date?

If your guest's name is listed on your online RSVP, then yes! Otherwise, we would love to keep the wedding as an intimate event with close family and friends. Thank you for respecting our wishes.

Are Children Invited?

Your invitation will be made out to "The (Your Last Name) Family" if your children have been invited and "Mr. & Mrs." if only you and your significant other have been invited.

What is the Dress Code?

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! We are requesting spring garden party formal or black tie attire. Ladies can wear floor-length or mid-length formal dresses. Gentlemen can wear a suit and tie or tuxedo.

Are There Any Colors I Should Avoid?

We kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride - whites, ivories, and creams.

Is There a Reserved Hotel Block?

Yes! We have reserved a room block at Hyatt Place Mount Pleasant Towne Centre. Please see further instructions on how to book a room on the "Travel" page. We highly suggest booking your stay as soon as possible. The Citadel College graduation is the same weekend of the wedding, so many hotels and Airbnbs are already booked.

Do You Have Any Hotel Recommendations?

We have reserved a hotel block at Hyatt Place Mount Pleasant Towne Centre. If you prefer to stay somewhere else in Charleston, we have a few recommendations. If you wish to stay in Mount Pleasant, we recommend Tru by Hilton, Hampton Inn, Hotel Indigo, and the Inn at I'On. If you wish to stay in downtown Charleston, we recommend The Vendue, Emeline, Charleston Place, The Dewberry, and Courtyard by Marriot Historic District. Kiawah Island is the closest beach access to the wedding venue. The Sanctuary on Kiawah is a beautiful resort and spa. There are also great options on Airbnb and Vrbo!

Will Transportation Be Provided?

We are providing round trip transportation on the day of the wedding from Hyatt Place to the venue and back. Buses will leave the hotel and make their way to the venue at 3:45 PM. Please arrive earlier than 3:45 PM if you would like to take the bus. At 10:15 PM the buses will drop guests back off at the Hyatt Place. Uber and Lyft are also readily available in the Charleston area.

Is There Parking at The Venue?

Yes, there is free parking for all guests on the day of the wedding from 4:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. There is also free parking at Hyatt Place for all guests that would like to take the shuttle.

Will there Be An Open Bar?

Yes! The drinks are on us and the hangover is on you - get ready to celebrate!

What Time Should I Arrive for the Ceremony?

The ceremony will start at 5 p.m. We kindly ask you to arrive 15-30 minutes before the ceremony to ensure nothing is missed.

Will The Wedding Be Outdoors?

Yes! The ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing will be outside, please plan accordingly.

Am I Allowed To Take Photos at Your Wedding?

We are opting for an unplugged ceremony, so that our wedding photographer can get the best possible shots. After the ceremony, we would love for our family and friends to document the day!

What If I Do Not RSVP In Time?

Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate you if you RSVP late. We will need to provide our vendors and venue exact numbers by a certain date. Please RSVP by March 4th, 2024.

How Can I Contribute to Your Honeymoon Fund?

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, we have a registry page on the website with a link to our honeymoon fund.
