A Short Story
Weve known each other since mere children, though we did not always get along well -- naturally. We had our tiffs when we were nine-year-olds, some loud arguments, some teasing and just plain rudeness. However, the both of us carried guilt over how we had treated one another as we grew older and apart. Just shy of ten years of our separate wishing and praying for opportunities to arise where we could ask forgiveness went by, until at last our paths crossed, and continued to cross. One year of friendship led to mutual affection, and so came our courtship. God has a funny way of bringing two people together, and our irony is that the best way we could think of to apologise to the other is to just fall in love and get married. God gave us the best of opportunities to mend a lost friendship and to keep it. So, here we are, and we could not be more grateful for Him bringing us together after all!
