Our Story

It was October of 2019 and everyone in town was flocking to Dorkos Cafe for their famous Halloween party.

Isabella was home from Philadelphia for the weekend and had no plans that Saturday night. Her best friend, Bianca, had convinced her to go to Dorko's even though she had no costume. Isabella ran to the Dollar Store on Market Street, grabbed a $1.00 Mardi Gras mask, and said "this will do."

Turns out, Jordan was also talked into going to the Halloween Party and only had a few minutes to find a costume. Luckily, Jordan's best friend, Jason, let him borrow his pirate costume that was in the back of his closet.

With some liquid courage, Isabella found herself asking the handsome Pirate from across the bar to take a shot. Jordan's cheap guy response: "only if you are buying."

Isabella and Jordan stayed in touch briefly after that night but did not talk on a regular basis. It was not until March of 2020 (beginning of COVID-19) that Isabella moved home from Philadelphia. She had all intentions of returning once pandemic slowed down, but that ended up being longer than expected.

While she was home, Jordan put his foot forward and asked Isabella to hangout. She said, "only if you are making dinner." He made peanut butter and jelly flavored wings and she was sold - never moved back to Philadelphia - even after being stuck together in quarantine.

The COVID couple quickly became inseparable. Isabella joined Jordan and his friends on a trip to Clayton, NC for Memorial Day weekend and they got their first picture together after Jordan asked Isabella to be his girlfriend.

That summer, Jordan joined Isabella's 45-person family vacation, and Isabella attended Jordan's yearly family reunion. And they even got a dog.... for those of you who know Isabella, it had to be true love if she agreed to bring a furry friend into her life.

After lots of airline miles and doing life together for nearly 2 years, Jordan popped the question on Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau, Alaska. In glacier boots surrounded by tourists, Isabella said "YES!!!!!"

When asked what advice they’d give to those who haven’t found the one yet, they said: “Shoot your shot!!”
