Our Story

Hello :) Those of you who know us personally may have heard this story once or twice before, we are glad to tell it again!

While Isabella was living in Chicago, she got a message from a young man, Chris. They began chatting and before he could officially ask her on their first date, Isabella tested positive for Covid-19! One week later, Chris asked Isabella out on their first official date! After a nice dinner at The Whale and a quick trip to Target they sat on a rooftop looking at the Chicago skyline talking about their favorite things.

They eventually began hanging out everyday, until one day Chris asked Isabella to be his girlfriend. From there they were inseparable!

Chris moved into Isabella’s studio apartment in Lincoln Square, and they shared 500 sq ft of pure joy and love! Taking walks to the lake or through Lincoln Park, walking to get ice cream or simply to get groceries they were always together.

Eventually their love grew and grew so they moved into a one bedroom apartment downtown Chicago with a complete view of Navy Pier and Lake Michigan (that was their favorite part)! They spent an entire year living Downtown, enjoying the pier, parks, food, and the pool. After a year, the busy life in the city was becoming something they would like to leave as a cherished memory.

Isabella and Chris made the decision to move to Bettendorf, Iowa, where Isabella grew up. They both have enjoyed the slower pace of life and enjoy spending time with family nearby. Shortly after the move Chris popped the question! With the help of Isabella’s mom and dad he pulled off the wonderful surprise proposal just before Christmas of 2023. Of course, she said yes!

Within the last year they purchased their first home! Enjoying the wild process together, painting the house, buying the furniture and truly making it their home. A couple months later they welcomed their puppy Wrigley, aka Wriggs, he has brought so much joy and laughter to their lives and are so very excited to watch him grow.
