Kyle and Isis connected early summer of 2018. It all started with a dating app called “Bumble”. This app allows the girl to initiate the conversation with someone locally if they matched. Kyle and Isis matched with each other due to a photo with common friends and also Kyle happened to be visiting Vallejo at that time. In those conversations, they found out that they had so much in common, such as having the same friends, from loving the same Bay Area sports teams, to having an endless love for sushi and also working in similar restaurant names: “Happy Sashimi and Happy Sushi”. They are also both nurses.
After about 2-3 months of daily and what seemed endless conversations, they finally met in person October of 2018 after Kyle drove for 8 hours. That same weekend, Kyle asked Isis to be his girlfriend in his car (not the romantic scene) 😂 Although it took about a day to receive a response, Isis said yes during their first niners game.
In the first 4 years, they had a long distance relationship flying back and forth from the Bay to Palm Springs. Also within those 4 years together, they traveled to places such as Monterey, Lake Tahoe, Los Angeles, Joshua Tree, San Diego, Phoenix, Seattle and Hawaii. They continuously grew together despite the distance and even though it was difficult at times, they made it work. It took a lot of patience, love, communication and understanding.
Kyle then made the move to the Bay in April of 2022, where he and Isis finally moved in together in their own place. A few months later, they adopted Ellie, their Pitbull who they love so much.
During that same year on their 4-year anniversary, they took a trip to their most favorite place, Hawaii... where they got engaged in an alleyway that led to the beautiful Lanikai beach.
