It all seemed impossible, until it happened!

He is from East Kalimantan was working in Central Kalimantan, while she is from West Kalimantan and was working in South Kalimantan when they swiped right at each other!Yes, you read it right!We are suprisingly that classic-yet-uncommon Tinder match that takes it to the next level; to marriage! It was April, 7th 2019, circa one month before my doctor internship program was over, when I re-installed Tinder because I was harmlessly seeking someone to have conversation with. Oh, don't get me wrong, I've been on Tinder since 2017, but mostly it was for temporary agenda such as finding cullinary partners while I was travelling, or just someone to give me netflix/book/webtoon recommendations, or to talk about hobbies, etc. So at that moment, I thought it would be another 'temporary'.Well, who would have thought that the temporary intention leads to something permanent?

It should have been an easy guess cause at the moment we matched, the chemistry sparked. The conversation just rolled naturally; from day to day in Tinder apps, it quickly jumped to personal chat (Whatssap, Line, iMessage -yes we pretty much tried everything). Soon, texts became phone calls; an hour phone calls became 3, 5, or even 6 hours (our personal records), and we also did video calls once in a while. Yet, we had not actually met each other in person. 1 month after we got to know each other, I needed to get back to Pontianak because my work period in South Kalimantan had ended and during that time, we could not find the time to meet since we were pretty much 250km apart. I was initially pessimist about us, or the possibility of this (our get-to-know phase) to sustain since it would take 2 plane tickets to visit each other after I got back to Pontianak. But as someone who watches HIMYM a lot, just like Robin Scherbatzky said, "If you have chemistry, you only need one other thing. Timing." I believed when we have chemistry, we only need to be patient until the timing happens.

Fortunately, it did happen. 8 months passed, My friend and I planned to travel to Makassar, which was coincidentally the town where he went to college. He then decided to join with us and it was officially the first time we actually met. The sparks grew even more and effortlessly. Yet, we did not really discuss anything about our relationship - not until the last day, when he drove me to the airport, he undoubtedly said, "I would like to meet your parents in Pontianak. Let's arrange it soon."

Fast forward to 2 months after, he met my parents, we discussed about taking it to the next step and that was that.We finally come to this. That's how we get to today.And we would very much love it if you could be happy for, and with us &lt;3 Our warm regards,Isma &amp; Agung

Kami boleh datang ke acara akad ga ya? Kan kepengin liat juga :(

Sayangnya, dengan berat hati kami tidak bisa mengizinkan kalian untuk hadir ke acara akad kami dikarenakan protokol pernikahan selama pandemi tidak membolehkan acara akad dihadiri &gt;10 orang :( Tapi kami akan mengusahakan momen-momen penting dapat disiarkan dalam live streaming ya! Sangat disarankan untuk mengikuti kedua sesinya karena itu sangat bermakna buat kami ;)

Setelah wabah berakhir nanti (aamiin), apakah akan ada acara resepsi/ unduh mantu? 

Sepertinya tidak. Kami sekeluarga (baik dari pihak laki-laki maupun pihak perempuan) sudah sepakat tidak ada lagi acara tambahan setelah ini supaya tidak terlalu repot (mengingat lokasi tinggal kami yg betul-betul berbeda). Untuk itu kami sangat mengharapkan partisipasi kalian pada hari H nya ini ya, walaupun hanya secara virtual :D

Kalian ini kan lintas Kalimantan, setelah menikah apakah LDR atau gimana?

Setelah menikah, in syaa Allah kami berdua akan tinggal di Kalteng (karena Mas Agung bekerja di sana dan tidak bisa pindah untuk saat ini). I will sadly leave Pontianak for good :( -Isma

Apakah kalian lebih senang diberi hadiah barang atau lebih perlu uang?

Keduanya sama saja, dan ingat! Itu tidak wajib sama sekali ya...! Yang terpenting buat kami adalah doa dan restu kalian ;)

Setelah kami mengirimkan barang, apakah kami perlu memberi tahu kalian atau lebih baik diam-diam saja agar menjadi kejutan?

Bila barang yang kalian kirim termasuk barang yang ada dalam wishlist kami, akan sangat membantu apabila kalian mengonfirmasi terlebih dahulu agar tidak terjadi pemberian kado double/ganda dari 2 orang/grup yang berbeda :)

Ok, a little personal question here. First impression satu sama lain ketika pertama kali ketemu gimana sih? Dan kok bisa langsung dengan yakin memutuskan untuk ke tahap lebih serius?

Meskipun belum ketemu selama 8 bulan awal, kami tidak pernah lepas komunikasi and we both enjoyed every little bit of our conversations. Semakin lama semakin banyak merasa kami sevisi misi mengenai hal-hal yang diinginkan dalam hidup, dan ternyata sejalan. 'Ketemuan' itu kayaknya cuma 'tanda jadi'. I think deep down we both have said 'yes' to each other long before that. -Isma

Apa sih suka dukanya menyiapkan pernikahan di masa pandemi?

Wah, bisa jadi essay ini ya kalo dijabarkan satu persatu. Tapi pada intinya, dukanya lebih karena waktu yang singkat dan pembatasan aktivitas cukup menjadi kesulitan buat kami untuk mempersiapkan banyak hal (ga bisa saling mengunjungi, sulit utk lamaran, dll). Sukanya ya tentu karena tanpa resepsi, ini sangat memotong budget *evil laugh*. Selain itu, karena keterbatasan-keterbatasan dalam menyelenggarakan acara, kami harus berpikir ekstra supaya acara pernikahan tetap berlangsung 'meriah' dan fun dan itu ternyata membuat komunikasi dan teamwork kami semakin baik ;)
