No, Uber and Lyft does not operate in the Philippines. They use the app "Grab" for transportation, delivery, etc over there. Make sure to already set this up before getting to the Philippines in case you have any issues with your credit card.

I suggest getting an e-sim from Airalo here: https://www.airalo.com/philippines-esim Otherwise you can purchase sim cards at the airport when you land if you need cellular data

Always expect delays. For domestic flights, make sure to arrive at least 2 hours before departure. For international flights, please arrive at least 3 - 4 hours before departure. Manila airport is not the most convenient.

I would suggest staying near the airport. Anywhere around the Newport City Manila, or near SM Mall of Asia. If you are flying out of Terminal 3 to go to Boracay. Newport City would be your best bet, there is a footbridge from this area that goes straight into Terminal 3

We suggest booking with Cebu Pacific, this airline usually leaves from Terminal 3. Which is where Newport City is directly connected to.
