Like the beginning of all great relationships, we met while he was passed out at the bar and I threw a straw at him to wake him up.
 I was celebrating my birthday with my friends. Jacob was invited by his brother, the best man, who was playing match maker. He was so nervous to meet me but thanks to whiskey he built the confidence. Two days later we went to an outing with his brother and his brothers girlfriend (now wife) to see the LA lanterns and the planes. Jacob and I talked about Star Wars and Marvel and totally nerded out. That same night, without the help of alcohol, he asked me on a date and for my number. A week later and after several Starbucks meets ups we went on our first date. Days after he introduced me to his family as his girlfriend. A month later we went to Disneyland where we said I love you for the first time in front of the castle during the fireworks show. At that point I knew he was going to be the man I marry. Almost 9 years later we are taking the next step on calling each other husband and wife and travel partners for life.
We have been so fortunate to get to see the world together already. We have traveled to many different places and have grown closer each time. Just like every couple, we have had our highs and our lows but the best part is that we always know how to work it out. Now we get to travel and share this new life as Mr. and Mrs. Potter.

Como el comienzo de todas las grandes relaciones, nos conocimos mientras él estaba en el bar y le tiré una pajita para despertarlo. Nos conocimos mientras celebraba mi cumpleaños con mis amigos. Jacob fue invitado por su hermano. Estaba muy nervioso por conocerme, pero gracias al whisky ganó confianza. Dos días después fuimos a una excursión con su hermano y la novia de su hermano (ahora esposa) para ver las linternas de Los Ángeles y los aviones. Jacob y yo hablamos sobre Star Wars y Marvel y nos volvimos totalmente nerds. Esa misma noche, sin ayuda del alcohol, me pidió una cita y mi número. Una semana después y después de varias reuniones en Starbucks, tuvimos nuestra primera cita. Días después me presentó a su familia como su novia. Un mes después fuimos a Disneylandia donde nos dijimos te amo por primera vez frente al castillo durante el espectáculo de fuegos artificiales. En ese momento supe que él iba a ser el hombre con el que me casaría. Casi nueve años después, estamos dando el siguiente paso y nos llamamos marido y mujer y compañeros de viaje de por vida.
Hemos sido muy afortunados de poder ver el mundo juntos. Hemos viajado a muchos lugares diferentes y cada vez nos hemos acercado más. Como toda pareja, hemos tenido nuestros altibajos, pero lo mejor es que siempre sabemos cómo solucionarlo. Ahora podemos viajar y compartir esta nueva vida como el Sr. y la Sra. Potter.
