In August 2023, two people opened a dating app and somehow—between the bad bios, awkward openers, and “wait... do I know this person?” moments—we found each other. It wasn’t love at first swipe, but it was something special.Our first date was a little awkward (as all good love stories start) but surprisingly comforting. You know the kind—where the conversation flows, the silences aren’t weird, and you walk away thinking, "Huh… that felt different.”Spoiler alert: it was.Since then, life together has been one big co-op campaign—equal parts teamwork, laughter, and occasionally arguing over which movie to rewatch for the 20th time. We’ve discovered that we’re at our best when we’re building things side by side—whether it’s working together, gaming into the night, planning our next adventure, or simply bingeing the classics from our childhood (and yes, quoting way too many of them).Fast forward to Universal Studios in Florida—where magic is real, butterbeer is flowing, and one of us (a proud Slytherin, thank you very much) got the surprise of a lifetime. Right there in the heart of Harry Potter Land, with wands nearby and tourists unknowingly third-wheeling, the question was popped… and the answer was an emotional, slightly tearful, 100% yes.Now, we’re getting ready to start our greatest adventure yet—marriage.We can’t wait to celebrate our weird, wonderful, and totally us love story with all the people who have supported, cheered us on, and maybe even swiped right on our behalf. Where do I even start with Megan? We’ve been best friends for 15 years — that’s over half my life of inside jokes, questionable fashion choices, and way too many late-night snack runs. She’s been my ride-or-die, my therapist, my partner in crime, and honestly, the sister I got to choose.
From surviving high school drama to celebrating life’s big and small moments, she’s been there through it all — sometimes with tissues, sometimes with tough love but, always with heart. She knows all my secrets and (thankfully) hasn’t shared them… yet. There’s no one else I’d trust more to keep me calm on the biggest day of my life — or at least make me laugh until I forget what I was stressing about.
She’s not just my maid of honor — she’s a forever friend, the one who keeps me grounded, and the person who reminds me that love (and a little sarcasm) can get you through anything.

Megan Tully

Powell met Evan while working at Honda of Seattle, back when he was the new guy fresh out of Texas trying to figure out both Washington weather and where to find good barbecue. Evan was Powell's first real friend in Washington and quickly became his partner in crime in the shop. Between turning wrenches, cracking jokes, and debating who's the better mechanic (it's still up for debate), the two built a friendship that's lasted through long workdays, late-night hangouts, and plenty of laughs. Powell's lucky to have Evan by his side, both as his best man and as the brother he got to choose.

Our wedding is semi-formal. Please wear polished, dressy outfits—suits or dress pants with a jacket for men; cocktail dresses, dressy skirts, or tailored jumpsuits for women—but keep the venue in mind: the ceremony will be held in the woods with uneven ground.
