Our Story

Josh and Ivy met at a game night put on by their mutual friends in May of 2023. Josh was attending North Dakota State University, and Ivy was attending Minnesota State University, Moorhead. Ivy and Josh hung out only a couple of times before Josh went home to Bismarck for the summer, but they kept in touch during their time apart. Josh came to visit his friends (and Ivy) before he left for three weeks of field training for ROTC in Alabama. During his visit, he asked Ivy to be his girlfriend. Josh was a part of ROTC throughout his college career and commissioned into the United States Air Force on May 17, 2025, the same day he graduated from NDSU and proposed to Ivy. Josh was given orders from the Air Force to report to Oklahoma on September 15th, 2025. They decided to elope on September 5th, before Josh left. Ivy stayed in Moorhead to finish her master’s degree at MSUM. We know that the Lord has a plan for every situation, and we are trusting the plan he has for us.
