Lauren Acosta - maid of honor
Izzy's sister and Maid of Honor, Lauren, has been a constant source of support throughout her life. Not only is Lauren incredibly intelligent, but she also tutored Izzy growing up, always helping her excel in school. From their shared experiences of lopsided pigtails as children to hiding behind the counter from the Beast when they would watch Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Lauren has always been there for Izzy. Izzy is thrilled to have her by her side as her Maid of Honor on her wedding day! :)
Lindsay Clarkson - Bridesmaid
Izzy and Lindsay became close friends during the wild times of COVID, making the most of their quarantine lives together. Lindsay quickly became Izzy's partner in crime and was the first friend to meet her fiancé, Danny. The three of them even spent a memorable Christmas together after getting COVID. They've shared countless amazing experiences, from visiting Lindsay's family farm where she grew up to enjoying late nights at the Columbus casino.
Bretleigh Roper - Bridesmaid
Izzy and Bretleigh first crossed paths at the West Cafeteria freshman year of college. Bretleigh convinced Izzy to rush Delta Gamma during their second semester. Now, Bretleigh is a fantastic mom to twin boys and remains a loyal and constant friend to Izzy despite the thousands of miles between them. Izzy always has a blast with Bretleigh, who not only has a great sense of humor but also tears up the dance floor.
Emma Ring - Bridesmaid
Izzy met Emma at their first big girl job at Abercrombie corporate offices, both having relocated—Emma from New York and Izzy from Texas—to Ohio without knowing anyone. Since then, Emma has been a constant presence in Izzy's life. They bonded over late-night visits to the Callahan's rooftop, and now they enjoy more casual dinners at the neighborhood Northstar Cafe. Recently, Emma has embraced another exciting chapter in her life as a loving mom to her baby boy.
Madeleine Smith - Bridesmaid
Izzy and Maddy met in Columbus, Ohio, bonding over their shared birthdays, born just a day apart, and connecting over their Capricorn traits. One of their birthday traditions was spending it in the DJ booth at Seesaw, the infamous nightclub of Columbus, Ohio. Maddy recently visited Izzy's hometown of Austin, Texas for an unforgettable girls' weekend. Maddy is getting married in France next summer, Izzy is excitedly looking forward to celebrating her friend's big day abroad!
Morgan Soroka - Bridesmaid
Morgan, the groom's sister, first bonded with Izzy during an unforgettable trip to Chicago, where Morgan lives. They attended a Cubs game and explored the city's best restaurants, thanks to Morgan's excellent recommendations. Since then, their friendship has grown even stronger through numerous family trips to Captiva, Florida, enjoying the Soroka family timeshare. Izzy cherishes these memories and is thrilled to have Morgan by her side on this special day, celebrating the love that has united their families.
Tatiana Stevenin - Bridesmaid
Izzy and Tati first crossed paths working in fashion Abercrombie. Tati, a New Yorker known for her chic all-black attire, stood in stark contrast to Izzy's Texan style, favoring pink floral sundresses and Kendra Scott jewelry. Despite their fashion differences, they became inseparable "ride or die" friends during their time in Columbus. Eventually, Tati moved to pursue her career in the Big Apple, but their friendship endured across the miles, with regular visits keeping their bond strong. Tati played a pivotal role in sparking Izzy's love for travel. Together, they've explored destinations like Washington DC, New York, Chicago, Nashville, Austin, and beyond.
Lindsey Jennings - Bridesmaid
Lindsey holds a special place as one of Izzy's longest friendships (16 years and counting). They first met as acquaintances in high school, where they often found themselves accidentally matching outfits. Their bond grew stronger in college when Lindsey saved Izzy from spending her first weekend alone in her dorm room by inviting her out. They share a passion for creative activities and enjoyed crafting late into the night during their three years as college roommates. Lindsey resides in Austin, Izzy's hometown, so they frequently see each other when Izzy returns home :)
Tyler Kucera & Pat Dunning (Co-best men)
Pat (second from right), Tyler (right), and Danny have been tight knit since their grade school days at St. Gabriel in Mentor, Ohio. They continued their journey together through Lake Catholic High School and Ohio State, where they lived together for 5 years with other close high school friends. Pat now calls Austin home and is excited to celebrate Danny and Izzy’s big day there with everyone. Pat and Danny have many memorable trips and experiences together from family vacations in Captiva to late nights in Miami and Vegas. After Pat moved to Austin, Tyler and Danny were roommates for another year. Tyler introduced Danny to the finer things in life, like craft beer and top-notch homemade coffee. Tyler and his wife Jenna are now soon to be parents with a little one due just before the wedding.
Larry Pinto - Groomsman
Larry and Danny first met playing summer baseball in high school and reconnected during their time at Ohio State. Both pursued degrees in Civil Engineering, leading to countless late-night study sessions and shared classes. Their senior year at Ohio State was highlighted by winning an intramural baseball championship alongside other groomsmen and close friends. After graduation, Larry initially moved back to Cleveland before settling in Charlotte, NC for four years. Last year, he returned to Columbus where he and Danny have enjoyed golfing and creating new memories. Larry recently showcased his knack for organization leading the planning of Danny's unforgettable bachelor party at Lake Norman, NC.
AJ Strozewski - Groomsman
AJ and Danny have been friends since their days at St. Gabriel grade school and Lake Catholic high school. Living just a 10-minute bike ride apart, they made countless memories together, only getting into a little bit of trouble once or twice (don’t ask about the storage unit). After attending Ohio University, AJ journeyed from Cleveland to Chicago, where Danny would frequently visit, catching up over some beers or Hendrick’s and soda. They’ve shared many memorable trips together including Miami, Nashville, and Las Vegas. Now, AJ calls Charleston, SC, home, and Danny couldn’t be more excited to have him by his side as he enters this next chapter of life.
Mike Neiman - Groomsman
Mike and Danny went to pre-school together (unknowingly) until they met at Lake Catholic and then lived together in the house with other groomsmen at Ohio State. Throughout college and after, they created lasting memories including a few trips to Miami and Mike’s wedding in Italy. Mike and Danny’s shared interest in real estate led them to buying their first property together that they lived in for a year before turning it into a rental. Now, both residing in Columbus, they enjoy spending their free time golfing and continuing their journey in real estate.
Ryan Fyffe - Groomsman
Ryan, another close friend from Lake Catholic and roommate at Ohio State was another key component to the intramural baseball championship that was won senior year at Ohio State. Ryan and Danny have always shared their interest and ambition in business which led them to partnering in buying rental properties after graduating. Their friendship is built on shared goals and a lot of good times. Maybe one day their dreams of owning adjacent islands will come to fruition, although a couple lake houses will suffice.
Aaron Phillips - Groomsman
Aaron (better known as Phil) is, you guessed it, another close friend from Lake Catholic and roommate from Ohio State. In college, you could find Phil and Danny at the gym early in the mornings before class. They frequently got together for a few beers to watch the Cleveland Cavaliers (even after LeBron left) and Guardians (formerly the Indians). After a Cavs or Buckeyes win, especially the two championships they witnessed while at Ohio State, they celebrated late into the night at Midway or Ethyl on 13th Ave.
Jimmy Metrakos - Groomsman
Jimmy (left), also from Cleveland, connected with Danny at Ohio State. Jimmy spent a lot of time at the house on E 13th Ave with the rest of the guys, living there with Danny and a few others in the summer. Danny and Jimmy bonded over many glasses (or bottles) of red wine, sharing laughs over stand-up comedy or cheering on the Cavs and the Indians (now the Guardians). Jimmy recently lived in Austin, Texas, for a few years, where Izzy and Danny visited when they were in town. He and his wife, Laura, recently moved to Boston, where they are expecting a baby boy shortly before the wedding.
Bo and Adella - Ring Bearer and Flower Girl
Adella and Bo, the adorable twins of Izzy’s cousins Roman and Sarah, are excited to be part of the wedding.
Adella, the flower girl, has a love for unicorns and baby dolls, while Bo, the ring bearer, is fascinated by dinosaurs and construction. Both are enthusiastically learning Spanish in preschool and enjoy rides on the back of their parents' electric bikes through the streets of Washington, DC. Their charm and energy will surely add a special touch to the celebration.
