Jacey and Christian met in college at Indiana Tech in 2020. Christian was the photographer and media coordinator for Jacey's volleyball team. He noticed her on the court and decided to talk to her after a game. He asked her a few questions for Indiana Tech's Instagram page and Jacey told him that she "Liked his shoes." Jacey did not think much of the interaction, but when Christian brought that up again, she knew exactly what he was talking about.

Speaking of Instagram, Jacey posted a picture of the Indiana Tech magazine cover on her story. Evidently, Christian took that picture so he directly messaged (DM) her via Instagram to start a conversation which led to Christian asking Jacey for her number. One evening after hanging out with friends, Jacey returned to her home that she was living in in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She saw she had a text on her phone from Christian, he said, "Hey! I know it is late and I just got off work but I know you are only back in town for a little. If maybe, if you want to possibly get some food together?" Jacey looked at the text message and the time, it was 12:30 at night. However, instead of climbing into bed, she agreed to go on a Taco Bell date with Christian at 1 AM.

The two stayed out until 5 AM on January 6th, 2021, talking about everything, and even shared their first kiss while parked in front of Headwaters Park in Downtown Fort Wayne. Jacey loved the way Christian pronounced "crunch wrap supreme" and Christian loved Jacey's blue eyes, so it was a match made in Heaven. At the end of the night when Christian was dropping Jacey off at her house, he looked at her and said, "You're going to be my girl." Jacey said "Sure," but knew Christian was serious.

The couple have been inseparable ever since and cannot imagine a life without each other! They have experienced everything together as a united team and have even added a beautiful Golden Retriever into their little family named Darling in September of 2021.
