James was Dan's classmate, roommate, tennis partner, and best friend at the University of Wyoming. He was a voice of reason in any social situation, and he was Dan's biggest competition in the classroom. James has been there from the day Dan met Jacey, and he and Simona continue to be incredible friends to the couple.

Sam and Jacey quickly became best friends at the University of Wyoming through a heated game of spikeball! Over the years Sam became a sister to Jacey, sharing their very first apartment together, singing way too loudly in the car, and supporting each other through everything. Without Sam, Jacey probably wouldn't have met Dan or known how hard your stomach can hurt after laughing.

Josh was the first friend to welcome Dan to Vale Middle School in 2012, and has been one of his best friends ever since. He taught Dan to drive a stick shift, shared granola bars and apple slices with him every day in auto class, and still challenges him to be a kinder person.

Claire became Jacey's best friend in high school where they ate way too much pasta before track meets and pushed each other through everything. High school might have ended but their friendship remained strong! To this day, Jacey still expects regular reunions together full of love and snarky conversation.

Sam was not the first person to welcome Dan to Vale Middle School in 2012, but Sam warmed up to him eventually. In high school, he showed Dan what it means to play the net in tennis and how to actually finish a cross country race in under 18 minutes. However, their real friendship began after graduation through videogames, group game nights on Zoom, and Boys Trips to Montana.

Simona and Jacey became close after watching James and Dan work on complicated math stuff together. Through their shared confusion on engineering matters, they became great friends while hanging out at tennis events, cheering on UW, and never saying no to an adventure. Jacey also expects to see Simona's signature moves on the dance floor.

After being the most intimidating member of the family for the groom to meet, Tanner became Dan's closest friend on the Reinert side of the family. He is a caring little brother to Jacey, and a future brother in law that Dan will always be grateful to have. Tanner has also proven that Dan will never be able to beat him in Mancala.

Martha lovingly welcomed Jacey in to the Wenger family. They bonded over being the best older siblings ever and their shared time together around family. Jacey doesn't know half the vet terms Martha says (though she tries), but she does know that she is excited to gain a sister!
