We knew of each other back in high school — same hallways, same hometown, but somehow never more than familiar faces in the crowd. Looking back, it’s funny to think how close we were without ever actually crossing paths.

Then came 2023, when life decided to give our story a proper beginning. We reconnected, started talking, and everything just… worked. It felt easy in a way that stood out immediately. Before long, it was clear we’d found something real — a partner to handle the good days, the tough ones, and all the everyday moments in between.

Some of our favorite memories are the simple ones: spending time with Weston as a family, going out to dinner, watching movies and TV, or just being together doing absolutely nothing. Somehow, those quiet moments have become the ones we look forward to most.

The proposal happened with our closest family and friends there to celebrate. And yes, Jaci was actually surprised — which is impressive, considering how hard she is to fool. It was a moment that felt honest, joyful, and very “us.”

Our story didn’t start with fireworks or fate at first sight. It started with timing, reconnection, and two people realizing that the right person can make even the simplest days feel like something to hold onto.
