June 27, 2022.
Two travelers, Jacinta and Nicolas, met in a small parking lot in downtown Olympia. Unbeknownst to them, they had been set up on a blind date by her friend, and his patient, Tori Pettis. They set off on a 2 hour drive down to Mt. Rainier, sharing easy and great conversation the whole way. They enjoyed a lovely hike and went up to Paradise to watch a beautiful midsummer Mount Rainier sunset. Nicolas was enamored with Jacinta and her excitement for the beautiful scenery, taste in music, unrelenting positivity, and of course her beauty. Jacinta was still unsure of this mysterious long-haired muscular man, but she would come around. Two days later Jacinta knew he was something special when he waited 45 minutes for her at breakfast as she got her much needed (and unplanned) beauty sleep. Two years later Nicolas knelt down on some very jagged rocks and unexpectedly asked Jacinta to share adventures with him for the rest of his life - she obviously said yes.
 
Since the early days, our relationship has been filled with countless early mornings and late nights on hiking and backpacking adventures, thousands of miles of road trips, hunting trips, and anything active (badminton, pickleball, and surfing). Throughout these adventures we have shared many smiles, laughs, difficult conversations, and grown together as a team.
