Where do we begin? Well, we don't even really know. What we do know is that years of brief, friendly interactions at captains helm, the rock and who knows where else (probably the skatepark when we were kiddos) planted some kind of seed in each of our hearts that would one day bloom into something pretty sweet.

We eventually became actual friends at Rhythm church in the summer of 2023, getting to know each other while spending time around a handful of close mutual friends. As some time passed and we each lived a bit more life, I ended up mustering up the courage to ask Bri out for a walk and it was there, down in Carlsbad by the ocean that I told her the way I really felt about her. I was relieved to be met with mutual feelings and the rest is history. We took things real slow, going on adventures through the mountains* and deserts, talking about Jesus, swinging in hammocks, swimming in the ocean, and falling in love.

*On one of our first dates, we stumbled upon an oak grove in Julian where we had a little picnic and spent special time marveling at those big old trees. Little did we know how significant this exact spot would become for us.*

It wasn't long before we realized where this was going and as you all know, we weren't trying to waste any time. So once again, I mustered up some courage to ask Bri for another walk down in Carlsbad, this time with a ring in my pocket. She said yes. We pressed some flowers in the pages of Scripture and went on celebrating with friends and family.

We're so excited to kick off this new adventure as husband and wife and can't wait to celebrate with our closest friends and family (that's you). We've chosen to get married right back at that same spot in the old oak grove in Julian, and we can't wait to see you there.
