Our Story

It all started in the Covid year of 2020 when Brigid came home for Thanksgiving break. Two swipe rights later and Jack and Brigid got to talking. Jack instantly knew they were going to be something special when this girl from Tinder asked about his favorite NFL football team. They began talking for hours on end every night. They discovered how many mutual friends they had, how their lives must’ve crossed paths at rival high school events and how Jack is the only person to order pizza at Roosters. This seemed so bizarre, Brigid just had to try. So off they went on their first date. She had to admit, it was a good pizza but an even better date. Jack tried to plan to have a romantic first kiss when the ball dropped on New Years Eve, but Brigid had other plans and couldn’t wait past date #1. Date #2 came and their competitive natures showed while axe throwing. A few more dates went by and a very convincing letter was written. Brigid asked for permission to go on a trip to Gatlinburg with 15+ people she had only just met. There, Jack had asked Brigid to be his girlfriend. After an amazing getaway to the mountains, it was time to return to school. Jack stayed at OSU and Brigid went back to Dayton. They visited each other throughout the semester and shared a wonderful summer together. Jack then joined Brigid for a year at Dayton while he began his physical therapy program. After graduation, Brigid returned home to Columbus while Jack remained an hour away. Two and a half years later, Brigid graduated with her masters in ABA. One week later Jack graduated with his doctorate. The day of his graduation he had taken Brigid to all of her favorite spots in Dayton. He saved their favorite hidden gem for last. There was a little flower garden in a neighborhood full of personality that they visited throughout their four years together. To Jack’s surprise, the neighborhoods high school prom was that night and they had never seen it so crowded! After taking a little car ride and walk around he had successfully waited most of the prom goers out. They entered the park and Jack got down on one knee and asked if Brigid would marry him. She said yes and their parents popped out with champagne to celebrate! This October, they bought a condo and are living together back in Dublin. This is their story but none of it would’ve been possible without the impact you have made on their lives. Thank you for sharing the most special day with us!
