Though both being proud Billiken graduates and contrary to popular belief, Jack and Bitsy never knew each other at SLU. But luckily, despite not crossing paths while studying at Pius Library or partying at the Library Annex, their paths did cross at a well known off campus version of a SLU bar. Jack and Bitsy met at Molly's in Soulard on August 24th of 2019, while Jack was celebrating his groomsman Jérôme's birthday. It was an extremely unoriginal "we met at a bar story", but Jack found out quickly Bitsy was anything but unoriginal.

Jack and Bitsy both like to reminisce on the randomness that took them to Molly's that same night. Jack had just moved to Soulard earlier that Saturday, and Bitsy was moments away from not going out at all that night until her friend Mario convinced her to go out to Molly's with their friends. After they initially met, they lost touch for a few months, but the stars again aligned to bring them back together the night of the 12 Bars of Charity Bar Crawl. But this time, it was another legendary Soulard drinkery that hosted.

It was there later that same year on December 21st where they happened to run in to each other again at McGurk's. This time, it was for good. After a few years of dating, Jack proposed to Bitsy in Lafayette Park. That takes us to the days leading up to their big day on 10/5/2024, and they are so excited to celebrate with you at The Franklin in Soulard, blocks away from where it all began.
