We chatted a bit and were immediately drawn to each other. Despite living 2 hours away from each other (we matched accidentally at a time we happened to be in close proximity) we decided to meet up. The morning after our first date, we texted about feeling something special and wanting to see each other again. We ended up spending the entire weekend together. We bonded over countless hours of conversation where we shared stories of our past and our dreams for the future. It was incredible to discover how much we had in common and within 72 hours of meeting, we fell madly in love.


4 months later, we found ourselves at the courthouse eloping. We decided to get married for one reason: because we knew in our hearts it was right. We were so in love, and so confident we were meant to be together, so we wanted to do something to solidify that. The reason we kept our marriage a secret is because we knew it was too soon for anyone to truly understand and take us seriously. It had only been 4 months, and we had not even met many members of each others families. We wanted to wait until our families had a chance to see us as a couple and get to know us, as we were confident they too would soon see that we were soulmates.


We have never regretted getting married, as we are even more sure now in the validity of the feelings in which we based our decision. Nevertheless, we always knew that one day, we wanted to do things the right way and bring our families and friends together for the wedding we always dreamed of. We sincerely look forward to doing that with all of you on our 5 year anniversary.
