It starts back on May 29th, 2018 at the Leo Burnett office marketing some cigarettes. Jack walked into Leo Burnett for his first day at work and little did he know he was about to meet the girl of his dreams. At the same time, Ali was going about a normal work day at Leo Burnett, and then too, she would meet her boy. On that day, Jack was being introduced to his co-workers and that was when Ali and Jack first met. They started off as work friends but kept an on-going conversation with each other at the office. Jack started to make sure all of his meeting rooms were in a walking path past Ali so he could come by and say hi. (Ali had no idea about this plan) At the company party in December of 2019, Jack decided to make his move and asked Ali out on a date. He gave basically his whole calendar to her and she said she was not dating anyone at the moment. (2 weeks later Jack saw her on Hinge funny enough, so much for not dating anyone) - After the no set-in, Jack knew he needed to just come to her desk that Monday and act like nothing happened. Months went by of Jack coming to Ali's desk every day. In the fall of 2020, they were constantly texting and emotions were sparking. A year after the "I'm not dating" came in, Jack decided it was time to ask her again for a date. Low and behold.....she said yes! 957 days after they met, they had their first day on 1/9/2021. (See what we mean by the long game?)

From there their relationship grew and they were constantly on the phone every day talking when they were not together. In July of 2021, Jack had his own place a block away from Ali's, but let's be honest, Jack only slept in that apartment for 13 nights out of the 12 month lease. They officially moved in together in Old Town Chicago in April of 2022. In August of 2022, Winnie came along. She is the furry happiness and the furry craziness that runs their lives but they would never change a single thing about her.

It was always a dream of theirs to live in another city. With Jack never leaving the Chicagoland area, he had a very slim list of places he would live, San Francisco was number 1. Their rule was if everything was aligned, they would move the San Francisco. In March of 2023, Ali was interviewing for her current job at Mrs. Meyers while Jack was preparing to propose. The week of the proposal, Ali had her final interview...in SF...4 days before the proposal. They both flew out there to prepare Ali for her interview and Jack was sweating through every pour hoping the flight home would not be canceled. Ali received an offer on the spot and that was when they knew, they are moving to San Francisco! 4 days later, the big day happened! Jack had an elaborate plan set-up where he won a free dinner to Gibson's Italia on 3/10/23. They got in an Uber and weirdly enough, the Uber dropped them off outside of Leo Burnett. At that exact moment, Ali said "Aw this is where we met!" and Jack thought she knew for sure. Little to Ali's surprise, Jack was on one knee and completely forgot his speech and asked her to marry her. As you know, she said yes.

In May of 2023, they moved out to San Francisco and that is where they call home. We are more than excited for you all to celebrate our biggest day of our life together in our home. Your love, generosity, support, and appreciation helped shape us into who we are and we cannot thank you enough. You all have a special place in our life and always will.
