Our Story

February 2015Jack was a junior and Nat was a sophomore at Westminster Christian Academy. Although they knew of each other, neither one really knew the other all that well. But one random indoor soccer game introduced them to each other, and they immediately became close friends. Now, at this point in the story, Jack and Nat slightly disagree on the status of their relationship, so if you're wanting to know more, just ask them. Both are always eager to prove their side of the story is the correct one. During this in between period, Jack asked Nat to be his date to JSB (Junior-Senior Banquet; also known as Prom at most schools).

July 2015	Fast forward to the 4th of July, Nat finally realized her feelings for Jack. From there, they started dating and haven't looked back since! During Jack's senior year, they were able to go to CB (Christmas Banquet) and JSB together one more time.

August 2016	As graduation approached, Jack decided to attend Samford University in Birmingham, AL which forced them to deal with long distance. Nat's senior year came and went, then she decided to go to Auburn University. Now Nat and Jack were only 2 hours apart as opposed to 8. College brought so many fun memories in both Birmingham and Auburn. Jack and Nat went to countless functions together, every time feeling grateful for the ability to see each other by just a short 2 hour drive.

December 2020Jack graduated from Samford in May 2020, leaving them only one more semester of long distance as Nat was set to graduate that December. Although they were down to only 5 more months, this time the distance between them was 10 hours. As hard as this was, Jack surprised Nat on her graduation weekend to ask her to marry him, so it was alllllllll worth it. ☺

Travel

A trip to St. Louis isn't complete without visiting the famous Gateway Arch. Complete with a full museum, the Gateway Arch is both fun and historic. Learn about how it was made then travel up to the top and see the million dollar view of downtown STL. You won't regret it!

Ballpark Village is your one-stop shop for all things Cardinals baseball, shopping, eating and drinking. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is even better. Watch a Cardinals game alongside the best fans in baseball, or just enjoy a couple drinks with friends. Either way, you can't go wrong!

Fun for everyone! The City Museum is a giant playground where everyone can have fun crawling through small spaces, going down slides that span multiple stories, or riding the ferris wheel on the rooftop. If you are coming into town with your kids, the City Museum is a must!

The St. Louis Zoo is consistently ranked either #1 or #2 zoo in the nation but what makes it even better is that its free! Some incredible exhibits include polar bears, grizzly bears, and sea lions. Family friendly, but fun for all ages!

A couple years ago, Union Station was completely renovated from the old train station to a hub of activity. Complete with the ferris wheel, the St. Louis Aquarium, great restaurants and shopping, the Union Station area is perfect for a night out in downtown STL!

If you're looking for a way to spend your Saturday before our ceremony, strolling through Forest Park is a perfect option! Bigger than Central Park in New York City, this park has everything from museums with free admission, scenic walking trails, and peddle boating at The Boathouse. Plenty in Forest Park to keep your group busy!
