Jack & Aurora

June 21, 2024 • Bozeman, MT, USA

Jack and I officially met at church, upstairs in the Rialto Theater. When I met him I had already heard so much about him from my friends & family, and the only thing I knew was that I had to meet him! When I decided not to go back to YWAM, I joined staff at Revival church, so I was getting to see him a lot more. After getting to spend time with him and working with him, I for sure thought we were only bro and sis. HAH, though I saw potential, I thought he had a lot of energy. However, the more time we spent doing life together, including leading a team to Mexico, preaching at church together, and co-leading discipleship training school, I got to truly see his heart for the lord. AND that's where it all started for me. The way he leads and loves people had me amazed and I defiantly starting getting butterflies anytime he'd walk into the office or church. When he asked me out on our first date I was shocked but at the same time it made so much sense. We went on four dates before we started dating. We dated two months before getting the blessing from my parents. We dated a total of 4 months before getting engaged. and we will be engaged for 4 months before getting married!!! God has completely restored my idea of love and marriage. I am getting to live my fairly tail and I couldn't be more happier!

XOXO - Aurora

For around 3 years I wasn’t interested in the thought of pursuing a relationship at all. Things slowly changed and I began to say things like, “if the perfect girl walks into my life right now I am open to something, but I am not looking for anything. God is going to have to place the right girl in my life”. In the summer of 2022, I showed up to a Revival Church, outdoor worship night, and that is where I first saw Aurora. She was leading worship and even though we had never said a word to each other, for some reason I had this crazy feeling like we knew each other. People I knew through Revival would say things like, “have you met Aurora yet? You have to meet her!”. Little did I know the same thing was happening to her. In August, I met her mother and she was talking about her daughter who had just been in a car accident in Hawaii and would be coming back to Bozeman later in the fall. We met for the first time on November 10th 2022 and I couldn’t shake this feeling that this girl was going to be in my life for a while…(If I am being 100% honest I think I was being resistant to what I felt to be the obvious). We began to see each other at group events and I was trying to get to know her better. A year went by and we had developed a good “brother/sister”, co- worker friendship. I was resistant to ask her on a date, as I did not want to make our work environment weird but after much positive influence from all of our friends I decided to go for it. I remember driving home from our first date thinking to myself, “I think I just went on my last first date ever”. It was as if we had known each other since childhood. I know it sounds super cliche but truly when you know you know.
