Our Wedding

Jessica and Jack’s story began in the skies of Superior, Wisconsin—literally. Jack was working as a flight instructor at Jessica’s flight school, where what started as shared airspace quickly turned into shared laughs, adventures, and a whole lot of time together. It didn’t take long for flying to turn into something much more grounded (but no less exciting).From early on, they bonded over their love of the outdoors, adventure, and good food. Whether it’s hiking the North Shore, fishing together in Canada, exploring family favorites in Florida, or hiking above 10,000 feet in Salt Lake City, Utah, they’ve learned that their favorite place is wherever they’re together. At home, you’ll usually find them cooking side by side—with their mini goldendoodle, Rosie, never far away.Of course, no relationship is complete without a little competition. Jessica’s proudest victories include beating Jack in Sequence (more than once), while Jack holds out hope every football season—especially when the Packers play the Vikings.In a moment that couldn’t have been more “them,” Jack proposed in an airplane hangar at the Superior Airport—proof that some love stories really do come full circle. What started with a shared love of flying has grown into a life built on adventure, laughter, family, and a whole lot of love.They can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with the people they love most.

After the big day you don't have to head back home right away. You can spend the rest of the weekend enjoying what the Brainerd lakes region has to offer! Fishing Opener- The day after our wedding May 9th is the Minnesota fishing opener and the Brainerd lakes region offers many great lakes to get onto the water and fish! Family Fun- The Brainerd region offers many opportunities for family fun! To name a few:-Some of the best waterparks in MN-World class golfing-Safari North Zoo-Hiking (Paul Bunyan state trail is the longest state trail in MN)Downtown Nisswa- A charming town minutes from the venue off of highway 371 and Paul Bunyan trail. Nisswa offers great restaurants, shopping, and activities. Catalyst By Nature Link Resort- You are welcome to stay with us at Nature Link for the wedding weekend. Nature Link offers cabins overlooking Clark Lake. Amenities at the resort include:-Lakeside Sauna, Wi-Fi, Beach, Bikes, Kayaks, Firepits, and Clubhouse access. (Pickleball, gym and lounge)
