Fly or Road Trip

You can drive to Vancouver and take the ferry from Tsawwassen to Sturdies Bay, Galiano Island. From Sturdies Bay Bodega Ridge is a 20 minute drive down the island. You can fly into Victoria, cab (or rent a car for the weekend) to Swartz Bay, take the ferry to Sturdies Bay, Galiano Island, and we can arrange pick up at the bay or you can drive to Bodega Ridge.

Honeymoon Fund

Is there a dress code?

No! Please wear what you feel most comfortable in to celebrate our day with us. Please choose your footwear appropriately for an island wedding! You will be walking a bit to the ceremony site.

Can we take pictures?

We will have Kaylyn West with us for the day of the wedding - capturing all the important moments and the memories in between. We will do family photos directly after the ceremony. Please take all the photos you wish throughout the weekend and share with us at the end! Our photographer requests you leave the ceremony photos to her, and ENJOY THE MOMENTS, rather than snapping the same photos she will take professionally. We hope you enjoy the weekend as much as we will!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be held outdoors.The welcome dinner will be held outdoors, weather permitted.The cocktail hour will be held outdoors, weather permitted.Dinner will be held outdoors, under a tent.First dance will be outdoors, weather permitted.Dance will be indoors. Anything weather permitted has the option to be held indoors.

Island Transit?

Travis is the only transit on the island, his phone number is 780-219-9080.

Bar service? 

There will be bar service at the welcome dinner from 6:00pm-10:00pm. There will be bar service the day of the wedding from 4:00pm-1:00am.

Transportation to the ceremony site & the cove

On Friday, after welcome dinner, transportation back to the cove will happen after the lodge closes. If you need transportation to the ceremony site, please let us know and a shuttle can be provided prior to 1430. Transportation at the end of the wedding night back to the cove will happen at 2300 & 0100. Otherwise, all cabins and the ceremony site are within walking distance of each other. Please let Darian know if you need other arrangements.

Please look out for directions and access codes for your cabin being sent 3 days prior to arrival. Check-in time is 4pm on Friday and check-out is 10am on Monday.
