Wedding Attire
Here are answers to the most important question: What do I wear?
We request all guests be in summer garden attire. We also ask our guests to refrain from wearing all white.
For clothes, opt for a light and airy dress with floral patterns or pastel colors. Maxi dresses, tea-length dresses, or sundresses are all excellent choices.
For shoes, we recommend strappy sandals, espadrilles, or comfortable wedges as they are ideal for walking on grass and add a touch of formality to your outfit.
To accessorize, keep it simple with delicate jewelry, a wide-brimmed hat, and sunglasses.
For men, consider a lightweight sport coat or blazer paired with slacks or chinos. A polo top or loose button shirt along with boat shoes, loafers or summer dress shoes. Colors should be inspired by summer.
We request that our guests do not wear white. Thank You!
Indoor/Outdoor
Both our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors on the cliffs of PEI. Canadian summer boasts high sun, nice breezes and comfortable evenings. A tented reception will follow the cocktail hour. Please plan accordingly. The PEI summer does bring some flighty friends! We will provide bug spray, citronella wristbands to our guests and do our best to keep the pests at bay.
Parking
The point prim lighthouse provides parking for our guests and the public for our ceremony. Guests who are not able to park and walk to the ceremony location (5 minute walk) may park at the lighthouse. Ample parking will be available at MacLeod Cottage at 1970 Point Prim Road Belfast, PE Canada. Cocktail Hour/Reception to begin at 5:15 at this location.

Travel by Air
If you are planning to fly into PEI, look for flights into the Charlottetown Airport. Charlottetown has many hotels and other rentals. The wedding location is about 30 minutes from Charlottetown.
Travel by Car
Driving is probably the easiest and cheapest way to get to PEI. The trip is about a 10 hour drive from most areas in New England, straight up through Maine and across the border. The drive can be split up by stopping for the night at one of the first cities across the Canadian border. We usually leave New England in the early afternoon, stop in Portland for a quick dinner, and then drive a few more hours before stopping for the night in Saint John, New Brunswick, where there are many hotels.
Passports
Passports are required to travel into Canada. Passports are easy to get if you have enough time. Current estimated wait times for a passport are around 4-5 months but it usually is shorter. An expedited passport can be received relatively quickly, but can cost several hundred dollars.
Rehearsal Dinner
Wedding party, officiant and grandparents of Jack & Jesse are invited to attend the rehearsal dinner.
