The first time Preston and Jackie met was at a local Starbucks in the Fall of 2021. Preston happened to be working on homework and Jackie was meeting up with a friend who introduced them. It turned out that they had much more than a love for coffee in common.

The very next day they bumped into each other at the gym, where Preston mistakenly remembered Jackie’s name as “Becky.” They quickly formed an easy friendship which later grew into something much deeper. Sharing many common interests, they bonded over a love for fitness, surfing and Jesus. Not to mention, they both attended the Highlands church and just had never been introduced.



God brought them together in his perfect timing. It was in the pursuit of following God’s calling on both of their lives that their relationship blossomed. They found both joy and a good teammate in one another throughout fitness endeavors, serving in youth ministry, interning together and studying for Bible college together. God has continued to align their individual passions, pursuits and callings with both Himself and one another. They are blessed to pastor the youth of the Highlands together and foresee a lifetime of ministry by one another’s side. They couldn’t be more excited to commit their lives to one another and be partners and teammates for life.

On March 25th, 2022, they went on their first date.

On April 16th, 2022, Preston asked Jackie to be his girlfriend.

On August 9th, 2023, Preston got down on one knee and proposed to Jackie. She joyfully accepted.

On April 19th, 2024, they will celebrate their new beginning as husband and wife!
