Our story begins with taking a chance, we both tried online dating for the very first time. We met in the early fall 2020 on Match.com. We talked everyday for several weeks when we decided to meet in person on November 21, 2020. David invited me to Cuivre River State Park, we met at the overlook site and went on a long nature walk, afterwards we had IMO’s pizza. Two days later I left for NJ to spend Thanksgiving holiday with my dad & family. We talked on FaceTime every day and when I returned home to MO, David picked me up at the airport. We were inseparable after that!
We began building our own home and broke ground early October 2022, we closed and moved in March 10, 2023.
We got engaged while on vacation in Santa Rosa Beach, FL on April 17, 2024! It was also my dad & stepmom’s 20th anniversary, we had already planned on doing family pictures on the beach this day. David took full advantage of the photographer being there and decided to ask me right there on the beach. My dad also asked my stepmom for her hand in marriage for another 20 years. It was an exciting day!

David & I love to go on new vacations and explore new things together. Our very first vacation was to Branson, MO in spring of 2021.

In October 2021 we went on our first big vacation to Gulf Shores, AL… so far our #1 favorite spot!

In May of 2022 we discovered the Smoky Mountains, this was one of our favorite trips! We went to Gaitlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park!

We went back to Branson July 2022 for 4th of July. Watched fireworks, did some shopping, and hit the arcade & go karts!

We went to Florida in May of 2023, stayed in Long Key, Madeira Beach, Reddington Beach, and closing out at Clearwater beach. The coolest thing about that trip was we went kayaking on the Gulf of Mexico!!

Family vacation with the Owens family to Branson in July 2023, stayed all together in a big Airbnb and rented a boat on Table Rock Lake (boarders MO & AR).

Family vacation with the Downes family in NJ August 2023. This was David’s 1st time on an airplane!! We spent one day in NYC exploring just the two of us, many firsts for David including a ferry ride, seeing the Statue of Liberty, Broadway, first subway ride, seeing the 911 memorial, and so much more!

August 2023 we went to the Indy Car Race with my mom and family. Neither of us had been, it was neat!

Branson again February 2024 for a quick weekend getaway- saw the Titanic museum!

April 2024, we started out just the two of us in Gulf Shores/Pensacola area, then met up with dad’s family in Santa Rosa Beach FL (where we got engaged), then ended our trip in TN where we went to Ruby Falls and then a 4 hour side by side tour! That was a blast!

We enjoy the beach, the mountains, nature walks, bowling, aquariums, going to the zoo, arcade games, go karts, Museums, going to the gym, spending time with family & friends, the movies, and going out to eat ☺️
