The couple met back in 2022 on the dating app called Hinge. Jackie had just matched into her Pediatric Residency Program in Peoria IL, when she came across Christian’s profile and the rest is history. The two started dating in June of 2022, and things began to move quickly from there, with Christian moving in with Jackie in December of 2022.

They seamlessly blended into each others families. Jackie going back to Christian’s home town to watch Bear’s games with his family and Christian coming to spend Christmas in NY with Jackie’s. In March of 2023 their family grew by 4 legs, when Christian’s dog Sadie came to live with them.

In July of 2023 while vacationing in NY Christian asked Jackie’s parents for permission to marry her, and they said yes with the condition that there are no returns!

In October of 2023 Jackie and Christian decided that Sadie needed a friend, a 2 year old French Bulldog who they renamed Belli Pepper. Things were going great, the two dogs were best friends and Belli was adjusting to her new home well. At the beginning of December 2023, after a routine vet visit, they found out that their sweet new addition Belli was pregnant with 5 puppies and due within the week. So instead of giving her back to the breeder they took the challenge and raised 5 beautiful French Bulldog puppies in their apartment laundry room. Although this was a stressor in their relationship they were able to make it through stronger than they were before.

On June 1st 2024 while Jackie’s family was visiting them from NY, and both families were meeting for the first time, Christian got down on one knee and asked Jackie to marry him. Of course she said YES!
