Our story starts in the late fall of 2019. Both of us were trying our hand at online dating using the app Bumble. For those who are not familiar, Bumble is an app where women take the lead in initiating conversations. By some miracle, we both swiped right and we ended up matching. I say by some miracle because Jacob's profile was the typical man's profile with fishing photos and no information about himself. Still, one image of him dancing at a wedding was the saving grace.

On December 19th, 2019, we went on our first date: coffee and ice skating. After three hours together, we decided that it was time to get home. Our first kiss felt like sparks, and from that moment our relationship trajectory was set.

Over the last 5 years, we have been inseparable. Even when Jacob was living at home for a year trying to find a house. Eventually, we moved in together and took on the project of renovating a 124-year-old farmhouse. Some may call it a passion project others might call us crazy. We also adopted two beautiful puppies, Ranger and Rooster, and are owners of chickens and a sweet Turkey named Fred.

After years of working on the house, countless walks, tiring arms from constantly playing fetch and weekly dates, we are FINALLY engaged and getting married. We are excited to start this new chapter in our life and if it is anything like the last 5 years, we are sure it will be just as adventurous and fulfilling.
