A Bangkok Love Story

We first met in March of 2023 at Bangkok City Baptist Church. Many of our first interactions happened while serving on the worship team together. We soon realized that we could make each other laugh quite a bit and started to become friends.

Starting in November of 2023, with some not so gentle pushes from friends and family, we started to realize how much we enjoyed being around each other. Over the course of several months our friendship deepened, and in July of 2024 Levi FINALLY asked Jackie on a date.

On August 1st we went on our first date to an interactive Thai cooking class and had a great time. By the end of the night we already agreed to a second date.

Over the next three months, our love for one another really began to take shape. We stopped counting hours and dates, and just enjoyed watching our relationship unfold. We continued to go on lots of dates, and became more and more convinced that we wanted to spend our lives together. By mid-October we had already talked a lot about getting married, we even set our wedding date. Jackie started looking at dresses and Levi went ring shopping.

On November 29th, the day after Thanksgiving, we spent the entire day together, just enjoying quality time. For dinner, we went back to Flavors of India, the restaurant where we ended our 5th date. After dinner, we went outside to leave and Levi got down on one knee and asked Jackie to be his wife. For Jackie, it was the easiest "Yes!"

Since getting engaged, we've been planning our wedding and taking steps toward building a solid foundation for a marriage that honors God. It's been so exciting to walk through this alongside friends and family, and we can't wait to celebrate with everyone in the coming months!
