Can we bring our children to the wedding?
All wedding events will be strictly adults only. We want our guests to relax, unwind, and enjoy the festivities to the fullest. In case of extenuating circumstances, the hotel offers childcare services for a fee.
Where can we reserve the hotel?
You can reserve your room at the following link, which was created specifically for our event: https://be.synxis.com/?&chain=28516&hotel=36012&config=group1&arrive=05/30/2025&promo=%20NARANVAWED25&adult=2&nights=3. See the "Travel" section for more details.
What is the wedding itinerary?
The agenda is as follows: (1) Saturday, May 31, 2025: Welcome party on Minitas Beach at 6:30pm (attire: casual/beachy white party); (2) Sunday, June 1, 2025: Wedding ceremony/reception at Dye Fore Terrace and Altos de Chavón, respectively (attire: semi-formal); (3) Monday, June 2, 2025: Farewell beach party at Minitas Beach (attire: swimsuits). See event listing on the homepage for more details.
What is the dress code?
The welcome party will be a WHITE PARTY on the beach; you should dress in casual/beachy white attire with shoes appropriate for walking on sand.
For the wedding ceremony/reception, we recommend semi-formal attire. Dressy guayaberas are fine for the men, but suits are also welcomed/encouraged. For the women, a long dress or knee-length cocktail dress is recommended. Shoe choice will be critical for the women, as the venue is all cobblestone. Wedges or low, thick block heels are HIGHLY recommended; there is a VERY HIGH RISK of twisting an ankle or breaking a heel if you wear thin or very high heels. Trust me, you don't want to risk it - you'll be very uncomfortable. You've been warned! :-)
The farewell beach party will be during the day, on the beach. If you plan to go in the water, wear your swimsuit; if you don't, dress light and comfortable to avoid overheating.
How do I get from La Romana airport to the hotel?
If you're flying into La Romana airport, the resort is basically across the street from the airport -- a 5-minute ride, at most. The hotel offers transportation, which can be arranged by emailing DMC.ASSESSOR@tourexpertsdmc.com.do. The cost is $54 (one-way) for 1-5 passengers, or $9/person (one-way) for 6+ passengers. Most of the wedding party is flying into La Romana on Friday, so let us know if you want to carpool with someone so we can connect you.
Taxis are also an option, though security to enter Casa de Campo is VERY strict; be prepared to show your passport, license, hotel confirmation - and potentially other information - in order to be granted access. I would recommend using the hotel service if you can, to avoid any issues at the entry gate. Taxis are probably fine - and probably much cheaper - but I've never tried entering via taxi, so I wouldn't know what to expect. Choose your adventure!
How do I get from Punta Cana or Santo Domingo airport to the hotel?
For those flying into/out of Punta Cana or Santo Domingo, you may use the same transportation company that services La Romana airport. Make your arrangements by emailing DMC.ASSESSOR@tourexpertsdmc.com.do. The cost is $130 (one-way) for 1-5 passengers, or $22/person (one-way) for 6+ passengers.
What can I expect at check-in?
At check-in you will be greeted with champagne and a welcome bag from the bride and groom. You will receive your room key and the key to your personal GOLF CART (all rooms include a golf cart to get around the property). The receptionist will provide a property map and answer any questions you may have. Please note that Casa de Campo Resort & Villas will place a $300 PER NIGHT HOLD on your credit card for incidentals; we know this is very high compared to other hotels, so please be prepared and know that the amount will NOT be charged to your credit card if nothing out of the ordinary happens.
How do I get around the property?
Casa de Campo Resort is not like most other resorts - it's a VERY large property, essentially a small community with personal homes, a fire station, a medical center, grocery store, etc. You can get to MOST places by golf cart, but expect a 10-15 minute ride to the marina and 7-10 minutes to Minitas Beach. You CANNOT get to Altos de Chavón by golf cart (well...you can, but it's technically not allowed and not recommended, especially at night, since you're sharing the road with regular cars who are eager to pass slow-moving golf carts). The day of the wedding, there will be a private shuttle bus to take you from the hotel to the venue (and another one to bring you back). Details on the departure times of the shuttle bus will be provided closer to the event. The hotel also offers shuttle services to/from Altos de Chavón and La Marina every 30 minutes between 6:00pm and 11:00pm (but check the posted schedule in case this has changed!).
Where can I do my hair and makeup?
The bridal hair/makeup team will be able to accommodate hair and makeup for any ladies who are interested (as long as you let me know ahead of time so they can plan accordingly). The cost for hair is $75 and makeup is also $75 (total of $150 if you want to do both). THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH (USD). Please let the bride know if you want to do hair and/or makeup by Friday, May 23rd.
What is there to do in La Romana/Casa de Campo?
For information on things to do, including a list of resort restaurants, please visit the following links:
https://www.casadecampo.com.do/experiences/ and
https://www.casadecampo.com.do/dining/restaurants/. For dining, we highly recommend SBG in la marina (make reservations in advance and try to go around sunset!), though there are MANY great options. For fun, and if you have time, we highly recommend the boat ride to Catalina Island, a private island with white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. The boat departs daily from the resort at 10:00am and returns from the island at 1:45pm (NOTE: This is the time the boat leaves Catalina Island, and it takes 30-45 minutes to get back to the resort). If you prefer to stay closer, you can take advantage of the 20% DISCOUNT ON SPA TREATMENTS for wedding guests, go golfing (Casa de Campo is known for its golf courses), hang out at the pool or at Minitas Beach Club (adults only section of the beach - I believe there's an entry fee), or explore the rest of the resort (e.g., Altos de Chavon, where the reception will be - it's absolutely beautiful by day and night; la marina for shopping/dining; etc.).
