The Story Of Us

It all first started when we met back in 2015. I started working at Taco Bell a few months prior before he did. Our first real connection was after I had come back to work from Warped Tour 2015. While we were working in the drive thru, he asked why I looked like a lobster. I told him about how I got my bad sunburn while attending Warped Tour. Then we realized we had very similar tastes in music and started to talk more after that. Andrew and I started to date February 27, 2016, six months after meeting each other. We both worked at Taco Bell together for two or so years. Working together could be fun and sometimes awkward with all of the employees knowing about us, but we enjoyed it. Andrew had met a friend of mine from our job and started a band with him and some other people as well during this time. Then they maybe a new band, Burn Your Bridges, which was around for a few years.

After some time, Andrew decided to get another job as well as focus on school. I moved out of my parents after that, got my license, got a car, rented two different rooms, as well as got a new job that had me caring for special needs adults. Also, living on my own for those two years, I worked very hard, a full-time job, and two part-time jobs. I finally decided it was time to get a nice car and taken out my first loan. During covid, Andrew had left the previous band and created another band called Xhale. Due to covid, there were little to no local shows, so they focused on pushing songs out onto social media. For those two years, Andrew focused on working long hours landscaping, paying for college, and taking classes. Andrew focused on and finished getting his associates during covid and then started looking for a career while I was working in the group home and two part-time jobs. The year covid hit, it was a very weird, but we managed to improve ourselves within that time.

In late 2020, we both decided it was time to start looking for an apartment together. We moved in January 2021, a month before our 5 year anniversary. We enjoyed living together and having our freedom. After half the year passed, we ended up taking home a ten year old orange tabby cat that Andrew named Torbjörn. We enjoyed having our apartment and our cat together. We enjoyed our little apartment with our first pet together and Andrew's first cat.

Less than a year later, Andrew decided that it was time to put a ring on it. Michele, his mom, made a very convincing excuse to get our nails done, to which was questioned but immediately dismissed. Finally the day comes and we go to the Kings Park Bluff, it is closed off for a concert. So we go to Kings Park Pysch Center. Andrew had the smart ideas to say we were going to take nature pictures with his camera, to which again went right over my head. He asked to keep walking away from him while he took the picture, and that's when he needed to "change the lens.". He went into the camera bag while I was turned around and grabbed the ring, and went on one knee. Andrew told me to turn around, and I was speechless, and jaw dropped. Due to me being at least ten feet away, he had asked me if i wanted to get closer. That's when i started to ugly cry walking towards him on his one knee. We had been together for six and half years and so of course I said yes.

Along the way, I have changed jobs and gone through other life events. Due to the death of one of my family members, we were going through a very rough time. We took a chance and ended up taking home another cat. He was from that family member who had passed away. We didn't know if our old cat Torbjörn would adjust to having another cat around. The cat was a one year old tuxedo cat that we renamed Sushi. Everything worked out, and the two cats ended up getting along just fine.

Now we have been together for over eight years, live together happily engaged, and soon to be married with our two cats Torbjörn and Sushi. We have been through good times as well as some hard times. We have each other, our two cats, as well as all of our families' support.

We have been wedding planning since getting engaged on August 27th, 2022, and we are very excited as the clock counts down to our wedding day. Thank you to everyone who has been with us through our journey, and we are excited to include you at our wedding.
