Q + A

What should I wear?

Ready to slay the weekend? Our Weekend Schedule tab has the outfit inspo you need to dress and impress.

What is the Boat Party?

All Aboard for a Day of Sun, Sea, and Sippin'!

We're excited to whisk you away on a private catamaran cruise. Imagine crystal-clear waters, swaying palm trees, and endless fun in the sun.

Are you ready to dive in?

When: 9:15 AM sharp! We'll return to the hotel at 2:30 PM.

Where: We'll shuttle you from the hotel to the port and back.

What to Expect: Snorkeling, swimming, dancing and soaking up sun. We'll even anchor near the stunning Playa Norte for some prime swimming and diving.

Due to the size of our group, there will be two catamarans:

- Cat 1 is intended to host those who want a full-scale boat party. Music will be loud and drinks will be flowing. Expect to get wet and catch some rays.

- Cat 2 is more luxurious and provides more shaded areas for relaxation and chill Tulum-like vibes. Expect music and some dancing, but this cat is for those who want a lower intensity boating day.

The Food Sitch: We'll have deli sandwiches and fruit to keep your hunger at bay, but make sure to fuel up with breakfast at the hotel. Feel free to bring your favorite snacks too.

What to Bring: Your swimsuit, towel, sunglasses, sunscreen and snacks.

No Waitlist: Every wedding guest is invited to join us!

Wristbands: Specific wristbands for each catamaran will be distributed at the Welcome Dinner on Thursday.

WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO RSVP?

RSVPs (via the RSVP tool) are due by February 1, 2025, but we strongly encourage you to do so ASAP. We may not be able to accommodate guests who do not RSVP by this date.

What is the nearest airport?

Get ready jet-setter. Book your flights to and from Cancun International Airport (CUN), which is ~40 minutes away from the resort. There are typically multiple direct flights to CUN from NYC (4h15), MSP (4h15) and ATL (2h50).

HOW TO BOOK Accommodations AT ATELIER?

Please reach out to our travel agent G World Travel via this booking form to get your resort accommodations booked and to see room options. G World Travel is a respected travel agency owned by Gina Libretti and specialises in destination weddings. To be considered part of the Engler-Robinson wedding group and attend events at ATELIER, you must book through Gina and G World Travel and not through any other method (even through the resort's website). We have negotiated group rates and arranged for payment plans to make this very simple for our guests.

Gina also has information regarding ground transfers between the Cancun airport and ATELIER Playa Mujeres. If you prefer to book ground transfers on your own, we recommend booking with USA Transfers or Happy Shuttle Cancun at least 1 month before your trip.

Note that there is 3-night minimum for room bookings.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE & DEPART?

The length of your stay is entirely up to you! While there is a minimum 3-night stay for wedding guests, we recommend considering 4 or 5 nights to get the most from your experience. This would allow you to relax and enjoy all of the resort's amenities (including it's world-class luxury NUUP spa and 13 onsite restaurants), explore local destinations such as Isla Mujeres, and play golf or tennis at the Nadal Tennis Center. Although many guests are planning to arrive on Thursday, April 3rd and depart on Sunday, April 6th, feel free to customize your stay to best suit your schedule and your vacation plans. And get ready for some fun beyond the wedding! We'll be scheduling awesome group activities like a catamaran trip and friendly team games over the long weekend. So please stay tuned!

Preferred travel dates (3-day): Thursday, Apr 3 - Sunday, Apr 6.

Preferred travel dates (4-day): Wednesday, Apr 2 - Sunday, Apr 6.

Ben/Jackie's travel dates: Monday, Mar 31 - Monday, Apr 7.

Are all wedding attendees required to stay at Atelier?

We understand that everyone's situation is unique, and some may require a family-friendly or more budget-conscious option outside of ATELIER. If this applies to you, please don't hesitate to reach out to us as soon as possible. We'd be happy to discuss alternative accommodations and explore ways to ensure a smooth experience for everyone involved.

How did we choose atelier?

ATELIER Playa Mujeres holds a special place in our hearts. Not only was it the magical setting for our engagement, but it was also the destination for our very first trip abroad together. Now, we can't wait to share its beauty and the memories it holds with all of you, our loved ones.

Can I bring a +1?

Unfortunately, capacity at our wedding venue is extremely limited. At this time, only the invited guests addressed on your Save-The-Dates or Invitations will be included in our count.

Can I bring my kids?

We adore your children, and their presence would truly mean a lot to us. However, you may have seen that ATELIER Playa Mujeres is an adults-only resort.

Is there a gift registry?

Feel free to explore the Registry tab for gift ideas, but please know that your presence at our wedding celebration in Mexico is the most meaningful gift.

Do I need a passport?

Yes. As our wedding will be held in Mexico, all guests traveling by air will need a valid passport to enter the country. Here's a helpful reminder to check your passport's expiration date. Processing times can sometimes take up to 3 months.

Are Cancun and Playa Mujeres, Mexico safe?

Cancun offers a vibrant atmosphere that is very popular with international travelers, and your safety is a priority for us. As in most places, you should not have any safety problems unless you go looking for them. ATELIER is located several miles north of Cancun in an area known as Playa Mujeres, and its gated community setting provides an extra layer of security and peace of mind for a truly carefree stay.

Is Atelier an accessible resort?

ATELIER is committed to creating an inclusive celebration for everyone. They offer wheelchair-accessible guest rooms and ramps throughout the resort, ensuring all public areas and facilities are easily accessible. While the beautiful beachfront daybeds are not currently wheelchair accessible, most other hotel amenities are designed for your comfort and enjoyment. We have also worked with the hotel to construct a platform to connect our wedding site (on the beach) to the hotel's boardwalk, making the wedding accessible to those who may have more physical limitations.
