Andrew initially met my parents at Pine Lake Country Club in May 2021. My mom immediately decided he was the person for me and confirmed that he was single. Shortly after they met, my mom texted me saying she met my future boyfriend. I rolled my eyes and ignored the message. Over the next couple of weeks, my mom would talk to me about Andrew, and again, I rolled my eyes every time his name came into the conversation. One night I was eating dinner with my parents at Pine Lake and Andrew happened to be in the lounge too. Andrew left his group of friends, walked over to our table, sat down and introduced himself to me. Other than introducing myself, I ignored him the rest of the conversation and let my mom do the talking. Andrew and I didn't interact much after that initial meeting (I don't blame him!).

In August 2021, I was with my mom and her friends at the Pine Lake bar when the topic turned to the Panthers Steelers game. Somehow during that conversation, I ended up with plans to go to the game with Andrew. Andrew realized he couldn't take me to the game (which I was happy about), and instead we went to dinner. We've been together ever since and my mom still takes credit for picking Andrew for me.
