We talk about how we could have met at Koontz Lake when we were young, but it wasn’t our time yet. We we’re waiting to learn what we needed in a partner and come together when we needed each other most. With the technology of the internet we both swiped right in October of 2022. Yes, we have thought of more exciting stories to tell on how we met, but the truth is swiping right brought us together.

We were both equally excited to meet someone that loved and knew of Koontz Lake!

From then we have been pretty much inseparable and each other’s person to lean on. It was actually on New Years at midnight that Mike

asked me to marry him and I said yes (many may have not known this). We continued to enjoy the summer at Koontz Lake with our families growing together. Come August we made our engagement official with a beautiful ring and agreeing to want to wake up to each other for the rest of our lives. We are excited to share our love with everyone on June 13, 2025!

In case you are wondering why our wedding date is June 13th, 2025. Some people may think of Friday the 13th or the number 13 to be unlucky. I (Jackie) think the complete opposite. My parents Sue & Roland Tasker got married on Friday the 13th and still have a loving relationship that I look up to. It also happened to be my soccer number and lucky number since I can remember. We were so lucky to have found each other and lucky to celebrate our love with everyone we adore!
