Our Wedding

It all began on September 23, 2020, at a Bible study called Yada, which fittingly means "to know" in Greek. We met on the rooftop of the Wentz Parking Garage in Stillwater, Oklahoma, both freshly single and not seeking a relationship. Little did we know, the Lord had other plans for us.&nbsp; Arriving early to the study, we struck up a conversation, and over the next few weeks, our connection grew. Jack broke the ice and asked me out on a date in October.&nbsp; Our first date featured dinner at Texas Roadhouse, stargazing at Lake McMurtry, and a memorable first kiss back at the Wentz Parking Garage, where our story began. We spent the beginning stages of our relationship driving around Stillwater, talking about our lives and all the new, exciting aspects of college. We forged lifelong community, embarked on epic adventures, and even flew to Florida for a spontaneous weekend getaway with friends. During our first winter break together, Jack visited my hometown, and under the tree of my childhood home, we said "I love you" for the first time as he drove away.&nbsp; Over the course of two years, we weathered life's challenges and joys, always guided by our faith. Throughout it all, the Lord has been gracious in assuring both Jack and I, on separate occasions, that our relationship is a wonderful thing. After many conversations and prayer, we decided that choosing to take the next step toward a marriage was not only our desire ー but more importantly, God-glorifying. Jack proposed in the Tallgrass Prairie Reserve on September 8, 2023, under a beautiful sunset, with a song he composed. We celebrated with family and friends the following day at Peret's Coffee in Oklahoma City. After our wedding, Jack plans to complete his B.S. in Chemical Engineering at Oklahoma State University, and I plan to continue my fellowship with Pinkston Strategy &amp; Communication in Oklahoma City while applying for law school.&nbsp;Above all else, we are committed to reflecting the love of our Savior in everything and sharing His gospel wherever He leads us.
