A city boy from Gilbert Arizona and a southern girl from Hickory North Carolina, separated by 2000 miles.

After a successful internship with Accenture, Jackson was given the choice of dozens of office locations across the United States. Seemingly out of nowhere, he felt the need to choose Charlotte North Carolina.

The process was difficult, both logistically, and especially for his parents, emotionally. But all went well and he set up an apartment where he had received recommendations from the local bishop of the local YSA ward.

While trying to make new friends and help out around the ward, Jackson quickly became involved in FHE planning, activities committees, and was eventually called as the executive secretary. During these callings, he spent a lot of time with the cutest girl in the ward, Kayla Rutter. He had seen her in passing before but recognized this as a perfect opportunity to really get to know her.

A few meetings here, a YSA dance or two there, and before he knew it, they were making dinner together, going to escape rooms, and hanging out around UNCC campus where Kayla went to school.

Seemingly imperceptibly, feelings grew, and commitment became stronger. Pretty soon it stopped becoming a question of what if, or maybe, but when. He (quite impatiently) waited until after Kayla graduated, as per her request, then quickly popped the question. Luckily, she said yes!

So now this unbreakable bond between two people is finally set up to be immortalized and eternalized in the temple of God. And they couldn't be happier or more excited to be starting their lives as husband and wife.
