It all happened because he swiped right!


We first started talking online - specifically Facebook dating (yes that's a thing!) in late September/early October of 2021. A couple of weeks later, we agreed to casually meet in West Chester (Barnaby's) to finally meet in person. As the night went on, we realized we had some kind of connection that we wanted to further explore!


As weeks went by - we saw each other more and more during the week and on the weekends. Eric lived in Wilmington, DE at the time and Jacki lived in Phoenixville, PA. We both agreed to see other exclusively but we didn't have a label quite yet. Jacki was so excited about this blossoming relationship - she couldn't keep it from her family and friends. At a family dinner celebrating her sister-in-law's birthday, Jacki mentioned she was seeing a sports writer and her brothers quickly became intrigued. Although, they won't admit it but they were excited for her!


Come December - Eric had to undergo shoulder surgery that would require 4-6 weeks of recovery at home. Jacki convinced Eric to live with her and Mama Kath while he healed for a speedy recovery.


During this time - it quickly became apparent to the both of them that there was much more than a spark. This was when Jacki first said I love you!


Eric had a deal with Jacki that he will ask her to be his girlfriend when hockey season was over. This didn't happen. Eric was SO in love (and considering Jacki's impeccable patience) he said it months earlier in February and asked Jacki then!


Months go by and August comes around - Eric and Jacki thought it would be a great next step to have Eric move in with her and Mama Kath. Of course, mom had to approve (and of course she did). Since August of 2022 - Jacki and Eric have grown together as a couple and started a foundation that would last a lifetime.


In July of 2023 - Eric proposed to her at Ohiopyle State Park in Pittsburgh, PA overlooking the waterfalls. It was everything a girl could ever dream of! The best part was Eric's nephew & nieces being part of this big milestone.


We wouldn't be the people we are today without our friends and family who support us day in and day out. We love each of you entirely and we cannot wait to celebrate our big day with you all!
